I think i have to say Forsworn Conspiracy questline and Thieves Guild Story.

I want to say Thieves Guild since it had a lot of good moments, good use of radiant quests and well voice acted characters. But Nightingale business just ruins it utterly and totally for me which is a damn shame.
I'll go with Dawnguard. Especially Forgotten Vale.
A Scroll for Anska,
because I met Anska
A nice Helm, Staff, and very useful Spell Tome are not bad either.
I liked the Civil war...they could have done so much more with it though.
Vanilla game: Thieves guild, for the twists in the story and rebuilding the guild afterwards.
DLC: Gotta be defeating Miraak, just felt like dragonborn DLC filled a void I felt skyrim had initially, it feels more complete with it.
Edit: Im sure we've had polls on this sort of thing before, it would be nice to see a more updated opinion, but with a hell of a bigger list.
Without going into spoilers, Why Dawnguard?
For vanilla, I would say Forsworn Conspiracy and Cidna Mine.
Quest: Lost to the Ages.
Questline: Dawnguard.
It was a long story and well written IMO. Had interesting characters and quests that were not just about going to A to get B and kill C and then return to D.
Cool.
And yeah, the Nightingales were a creepy daedric cult.
There should have been an option to side with Mercer Frey, he is what being a theif is all about.
That would've been cool, but how would such a questline end?
And welcome to the forums.
Thanks, I never got one.
And It would probably end with you betraying Mercer; I could make one up, and make a thread.
Coming back to the guild, making up some story about how Mercer really was legit and how the orbs he found will bring the guild back on its feet. Meanwhile Karliah is lying in a pool of blood somewhere in Skyrim.
Good Idea. You should make a thread for how you think the questline should have been.
It's not gonna happen so I won't waste my time. It would only make me sad and angry.
Pretty much the same reason why I like Waking Nightmare. Erandur
I also like, among others, A Night To Remember, the Wolf Queen quests, Laid To Rest (but it would have been better if you had to figure things out by yourself a little more), Blood On The Ice (when it works!) and probably a few more I've forgot about.
As for questlines... I think I've enjoyed the CoW and the Companions the most, even though both questlines have problems (like being too short and rushed, and no options to choose an alternative route in the Companions questline).
The CW has Ulfric but gets repetitive and is outright boring on the Imperial side, IMO.
The MQ is alright, I think.
The TG lacks in dialogue options (words are put in my mouth!), and alternatives (like siding with Mercer, of taking down Maven Black-Briar).
I haven't played through the other questlines.
I might. Or, at least, make a "How would you want this questline to be?" thread.
Vanilla: Ahhh. I guess Civil war if you go season unending, I like the you tube video and want to do Season Unending.
DLC: Dawnguard surprisingly. I agree Dragonborn just feels like a much needed extension of the vanilla game and completes it.
Besides Season Unending, the Civil War was underwhelming, IMO.
Hmm, my favorite quests..
I like the dark brotherhood quest line (Destroying them was so boring imo)
The TG was cool up to the whole daedric soul forever thingy(I stopped playing the TG after that)
I am in complete agreement.
Edit: That storyline feels gutted but I'm not completely sold on the guild quests either for reasons I've mentioned before.
My all time favorite is Season Unending. While not a whole questline in itself, it is my absolute favorite moment that I have replayed over and over again.
That quest is what got me so interested in the politics of Skyrim.
Other then that, I really wanted to have the Civil War be so much more indepth. Something that so tangibly affects Skyrim. The only really poignant moment in there is if you side with the Stormcloaks and what Jarl Balgruuf has to say....a good quest, just wanted so much more. I really, really wish that they had not cut it so drastically. In the CK it is clear that you would have fought for Falkreath, Riften and so much more. *sigh* That whole Civil War scenario had so much potential to be incredibly epic.
