What's your thoughts about grouping?

Hello my friends,

1 - Concerning the feature that each group member has to advance in the quests separately, that means that every group member has to do the same puzzle, even if they are in the same room, talk to same npc, collect the same item, save the npc etc. Do you guys like this system? I mean, can't we all advance together if one member do the objective? t's a strange system, but it's not bad, but it's strange.

2 - Phasing system is great and makes the world dinamic while we advance in the quests, really beatyfull system. But it's keeping families and friends separeted. I don't mind repeating quests to help friends and guildies. The actual system doesn't allow that. I was one step ahead of a few friends mine and I had to wait to them to reach the part of the quest that I was. Do you guys like the system like this? I guess we could use some "phase reset" or, peharps we could repeat open world quests in order to help friends and families, or even if we enjoyed the quest very much and want to repeat it.

3 - Open world quests are okay, but not EPIC, yeah. I did enjoyed the game, but I found the open world quests just okay, not like ABOVE AND BEYOND. Too much open world content, not much instanced, and many of the instanced content is solo (like the guilds quests lines). what your thoughts?

So, what you guys think about these points or any other that you would like to comment? I was talking with a few guildies and these were the mains subjects that we discussed.

edit: sorry for my bad english.

I think the phasing is a bold move on ESO's part. It's an age old concern with multi player; On one end you have people camping spawn points, and the other a single player game. As long as ESO understands they are at the 80% mark toward single player, and the people who pay/play it understand that, it is all good.

1) Strange at first. The game seems solid enough in the two weekends I played with friends not to bother me. After a month...I don't know.

2) Again, interesting. However, phasing is not what I want in a monthly MMO.

3) I think only a few people understand what the full game offers.

I absolutely hate phasing. I prefer grouping and phasing just makes that a total chore. Micromanaging which step everyone is on in a quest chain is not my idea of fun.

I really think groups needs to be worked on to be better. I want to quest with my friends, I don't want to be forced to stop playing with them.

When i am play solo I dont have a problem with others not being in my dungeons, when I am in a group I DO have an issue with them not being allowed in while I am trying to play with someone else. I don't mind our quests not being shared, though it breaks the flow of the game in my opinion.

Sentiments echo'd and seconded.

Encounter scaling tech has been around a long time. Why can't Zenimax simply scale encounters based upon group size?

Phasing is something that should only happen for a solo-entity. That solo-entity could be a single player, a single group, a single raid, etc... but a 'single' something. It should not apply individually to everyone involved. An example of how it could get... really messy... Some encounters they have said will require people to hold roles in the 'holy trinity'... so, we have a group of 4 people, 1 tank, 1 DPS, 1 Healer, 1 Back-up Healer. Next stage of quest is, "Kill Boss Guy", in the fight, tank charges, gets aggro, takes damage, healer heals him, DPS gets in, fight goes great, and the back up healer watches the DPS waiting on edge to heal them because DPS people notoriously get splattered if things go wrong... the fight ends, boss dead, quest progresses for tank (did damage), DPS (did damage), healer (healed someone involved in fight)... but backup healer is stuck on previous stage because they were never needed.

That is oversimplification, but what of people who really want to read each line of an NPC's dialogue to get the full effect of the game? The rest of the party has moved on and is already doing the next stage while that player is still in dialogue talking, and ends up even further behind.

So many possibilities of how this will end up just causing people to solo unless the group is just farming kills/gear.
