I'm sure that there have been millions of these threads but I wanted to make one. What is your favorite pieces of armor? Not as a whole but just a piece from it, like I really love the orchish gauntlets .They are my favorite in the game. If your favorite armor is a mod then maybe you could put a link to it so that we know what it looks like also.

I think its fun to mix and match. What do you wear. I wear orchish gauntlets and boots and wear a russelfelt (sp?) dress and only use a small sword or dagger(role play reasons) and a hood

My character changes outfits a dozen times a day and doesn't care what her armor rating is - if she gets hit, she's in trouble anyway. She is extremely aware of her surroundings, and carefully assembles outfits to best suit what she is doing at the moment.

She has lots of nice modded outfits and even a mod so she doesn't suffer a spellcasting penalty for wearing a silly pair of leather boots with her clothes. Of the vanilla armors, she probably uses that pretty blue Arena Raiment more than most other types of armor.

Given her mods though, she usually adventures in doeskin greaves & boots with any one of a dozen different blouses. :dance:

Leather is my favorite armor too. One of my characters wore Leather armor for an entire game.

Favorite piece from vanilla OB is Savior's Hide or Escutcheon of Chorrol. As for mods, have a look at my sig.

I like the leather armor. But my favorite might be elven, despite the fact it kinda looks like power ranger armor.

I wear leather with the Zealot hood until I'm a high enough level to get the perfect amber armour.

Always loved the prison scraps of cloth, enchanted over the top. Imagine attacking someone who looks like a beggar but really is the archmage... wahahaha.

That's hilarious. Seriously.

From the vanilla game, I'd have to say my very favorite is the guard armors, sans the helmet, enchanted with elemental protection using lesser soul gems. With six pieces - boots, greaves, curiass, gloves, shield, amulet - I end up with enough protection to pretty much carry me through the game. My two favorites are Kvatch and Chorrol, although Skinguard and Anvil are cool, too. The enchantment is fairly affordable, too.

After that, mithril.

Favorite heavy is steel without the helmet or shield.

Fur, except for the female cuirass. I particularly like the helmet.
Leather, except for the helmet.

Ebony (certainly my favorite)

Leather or Elven cant make me mind up. :shrug:

Just regular...i like full leather, full mithril, most of the town cuirass' (bruma being my most favorite), elven, orcish, and the shrouded armor

Shivering isles...i like just about everything there

Mods...Tyrael Armor (the best freakin armor mod i've seen)

Heavy Armor: Dwarven
Light Armor: Mithril

I prefer the armor from mods though.

Glass armor with a matching hood.

Love all kinds of modded glass armors for that fact.

When i wear armor,

Light: Elven
Heavy: Daedric

I pretty much like all the fur pieces.
Iron Gauntlets for some reason I just really like the look of probably my favorite overall generic part.
Iron legs look surprising cool sometimes when mixing and matching armor.
Legion curiass looks exceptionally cool to me.
Favorite looking artifact is probably the Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw.
Daedric armor is really cool looking, it's hard to even want to wear light armor knowing how the high end gear looks compared to it.
Most Dwarven pieces are really awesome looking also.
Don't like so much all the shiney armor mithril/steel or if it is too regal looking like ebony, glass and elven tend to fit into both too shiny/regal for my aesthetic tastes.

Come to think of it, I do like the orcish guantlets also. Although I'm on the fence about the cuirass.

Also I like to wear orcish greaves and gaunts with leather cuirass and boots and a brown green hood. Looks great.

I always bring around my wrist irons in early levels and throughout, their just awesome....

For some reason, I just LOVE the glint of the ebony armor...

Light: Leather w/ a black hood
Heavy: Daedric or Ebony w/ a black hood I LIKE BLACK HOOD'S!

My faves are Daedric(Love the sinister look the have), Necromancer's robes(I'm a fan of necromancers...), and Black Hand robes(Don't know why, they just look cool). ^_^

I really like how the whole set of Crusader's Relics, I really like stuff that has a medieval look to it
