going to use a wood elf planning on heavy armor and blunt weapons not sure what else to make it a good class for a heavy armor wood elf magic user

You might go with something like

Blunt

Block

Heavy Armor

Restoration

Alteration

Mysticism

Conjuration (may want to limit it to turn undead)

You will need a lot of repair hammers in the beginning, but the Armorer skill levels pretty well as a minor and will give you a good endurance bump, which will be helpful for the "war" part of your warpriest. Turn undead spells are found in conjuration, so even if you have an aversion to summoning, it can still be a good major for a cleric type character. Some people would even go so far to say that the only time it makes a good major is if you are limiting it to turn undead, since conjuration levels so quickly.
