Post » Sat Oct 08, 2011 2:41 pm

I was just wondering what you guys thought of a fighter thief and what skill set would be good for a fighter thief
Please leave feedback as it will help me with my final character build :celebration:

I dont like your ideia, thieves usually avoid fighting, fo them much easier to run away then fight.

Got to take pick pockets, or you are just a stealthy fighter who can pick a lock. A lot of people moaned when pick pockets was announced, "what a waste, they could have given us something interesting" and the like. Seems to me, however, that is a nice addition, a pure thieving skill.

thieves dont fight (or kill at least), what you want my friend is a rogue

light armour, onehanded (dual wielding), sneak, and lockpicking are musts for a rogue

It doesn't really matter as picking main skills have gone out of the window, so your skills should reflect your playstyle.

Well, you can of course.
But why you want to fight? A professional thief is a ghost like thief imo.

a fighter thief isn't a bad idea. just gotta remember you won't be the best at direct combat or thievery. One-Handed, Light Armor, Sneak, Pickpocket, Lockpicking, and Block will be critical. Alchemy, Archery, and Speech would be very good as well.

the proper term is rogue  but skyrim wont allow you to be very agile in a fight, so it might not play like a rogue

i think your referring to a rogue, and thats not my play style, i preffer to stick to the shadows and use sneak attacks (range or melee), conjuration and illusion spells (to manipulate my target), along with other skill sets as alchemy, pickpocketing, lockpicking/alteration ( alteration can unlock things). You could call my skill set a Shadow mage

I wouldn't dismiss all magic on a fighter theif you always have a magicka bar even if its small it can be helpful, using restoration for the odd chance you get hurt to save some potions, destruction for a fire magic trap that you can lure people into, conjuration to summon a distraction or illusion to aid in your trickery. They fit in with your thief warrior but you don't have to spend perks/time in them for magic to be useful.

I only suggest using 1 or 2 magic schools so that they will at least stay somewhat useful later on in the game.

I would pick light armor, block, onehanded, and speechcraft. The lovable rogue, a silvertongued devil!

May also include bandits, brigands, marauders, reavers ... criminal scum highwaymen and then like :)
