Hey whats going on everybody, started playing fallout a couple of years ago with fallout 3 and since then been through everyone of them except for the brotherhood of steel game and finally decided I would join the forums so I could discuss my addiction with people suffering the same problem.

I actually thought It would be cool to introduce myself by asking for adevice on a build and maybe have some of you guys share some of your favorites too. Im about to start a new game and I want it to be a character who gets alot of critical hits so I guess luck would need to be high and maybe agility, im planning on my main weapon being la long carabine (I know its not the absolute best in the game but I tend to use weapons that just 'feel' right over anything else) and I may up lockpick so I can get the revolver lucky.
So what do you guys think I should do for this guy, I guess getting the cowboy perk is a given as soon as it becomes available, and i'll probably up repair to so I can get hand loader rounds and jurry rigging, and he's going to be a ncr guy so i'll use ranger armor as soon as it becomes available. What do yall think I can do to make this guy better?

Nothing, maybe a stock pile of Brush Guns?.

Cowboy build is one of the simplest in game, once you got Handloader and Cowboy you are set.

If you up your repair lockpicking far enough to boost it too 100, you could go get the Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle, good unique sniper rifle. Or the All-American.

What, you're going to repair the lock until it breaks?

Ratslayer +5 critical. You can get to a point it does 100% critical damage.

And that is where the phrase "Don't fix what isn't broken" comes from, childrens.

get all-american, heres y you should
1. nice fire rate
2. easy to get ammo
3.nice clip on it
4. decent range
5. good stoping power
6.decent weight

Well, you can go over and eat some of the Legion with the cannibal perk.
