The 2009 console version almost looks better than the retail PC version, what gives?

We dont know. And it makes me RAEG, I really wanted that game.

This wasnt a pc vs xbox thread before you came in and talk something like :" My game looks like in the video.I play on Xbox and on HD,OH my god HD" :rolleyes:
Come on.
Thats the point.Look the last video i posted.There you see at the end both versions on the beginning from container city.Both dont look like in the 2009 video.Explain me that.Why your game look diffrent to all Brink games in the world?Because you use HD? *Ironic* :rolleyes: Stay by the truth.

I can use this language like i want.Who you think you are?

I'm a human being, same as you, demanding a modicum of respect from someone slaughtering my language & trying to insult me at the same time. I dont think that's too much to ask, surely?

Its not a pc vs 360 debate, yet your last linked video (in german?) is EXACTLY that. A direct comparison of the game on those two diff consoles?

Quite frankly, your disrespectful tone & childish insults are grating on me just a little. Stay by truth. So now you call my opinion a lie?

This isnt about pure graphics power this is about the look and tone of the game. It seemed a little darker, an a little less cartoonish in 09 than now, thats the debate here.

I play on 360 with HDMI and it looks just as good as the trailer. I fail to see the grounds for all the complaint.

In which case I reiterate that I prefer these graphics to those of the trailer

hmmmm. Now that is harder to judge :confused: The story in 2009 did seem more involved; grittier. I miss that. But the look? I dunno, i feel its been consistently maintained.

@inkredible bulk
Sry if i insult you.I dont know where but if you feel insult im sorry.We can only speak about facts and i shown you alot that you understand what iam meaning,but i think you dont wanna see that and fully ignore THE facts (not my facts).We all love Brink.Thats a fact(i hope so) but i cant understand why the game looks so much worse than the 2009 one.

@TheCrazyness
The game looks darker because the shadows and lightning are alot better.

Apology accepted man. Im not an unreasonable person :) & yeah we all love Brink. What system do you play on? Cos I honestly have pretty nice graphics on my xbox. Texture loading time is a lil laggy, this is being dealt with (fingers crossed) but otherwise the game, graphically, looks pretty damn good to me.

I know very little of PCs specs, but my mate, who built his own & fixed mine from the boots up, said even his comp has trouble handling Brink at its best. Maybe it's your system man? Youd have to ask someone who knows more than me though. That shouldnt be hard lol

they changed what the hud looks like which i like the final game one, they switched interrigate an enemy to coms hack. the objectives wheel takes longer for just a little more information which can be figured out for the most part. the direction arrow takes away your view as you will be looking at that alot of the time vs an outline and they can be hard to follow, you could shove an enemy (I.E. knock them over) which has been replaced by melee. in game cutscenes cant be skipped and would get old fast. the final product seems a helluvalot better

When you quote someone it is the EXACT SAME WORDS not your interpretation. Thats just how quotes work.

Just to clear up a couple points

1: Brink is idtech4 not idtech5 (Rage)

2: Early vids were done on a maxed out gamer PC with 360 controller, later vids are from PS3

I hate to be that guy who jumps to :flame: 'ing or accusing people, but bethesda....you can't deny this
has the distinct oder of a bait'n'switch you maxed out the textures, polagonals, sounds, partical affects and story
in trailers to hype the the game and then nerf it in the final product. I mean this could ALMOST be forgiven in a
newly formed team like SD, but not when under the whatchful eyes of Bethesda, this really shocked me into reallity
that no company, no matter the quality of previous products, is ammune to budget shaving. I seriously doubt any
of this will be remedied in patches, I just hope this poor decission won't doom Brink 2 to nonexistence.

That said. the game is still OMGasmicely awsome :rock:

If/when the next patch doesn't fix the OpenGL losing connection to driver issue I'm gone, never to buy anything from SD again.
So yea, feel free to fix it.

I aint going that far, at least for Brink, it has some awsome things going for it and nowhere to go but up, I'm just afraid in this economy
Bethesda may shoot down any sequal talks or even worse drop them entirely, which would svck biggun's
