Youre blind or mad mate. Same damn game, save for the story, which got nerfed so players get straight into the action (think they went a bit overboard there, jus my opinion) & less blinding smoke with the frags so Flashbang has a realistic purpose. Graphics look like that on my HD. I play 360.
You must be playing a different game then. I play on 360 as well and it looks nowhere near as good as those trailers. I saw those a long time ago and haven't watched them since, but seeing them now after having spent many hours playing Brink first hand, the two are night and day different. I would actually wager that those trailers are on a PC maxed out. The lighting is
way more dynamic and realistic looking. And on 360, take a look at the sky on container city. It looks like utter crap, especially compared to that preview. I think the game looks just fine overall on 360, but definitely seems like it could use some improvement if it were possible.
Some things that stand out to me:
1. There's essentially no HUD in these videos which makes it look really clean. Plus, not everything is outlined and you don't have vital information that you need on the screen that is in the final version. Not really sure they they felt the need to highlight everything.
2. I think I sort of like the idea of the arrow pointing to an objective as opposed to seeing it through the level. Before I knew the maps, I'd get lost following that marker. Not really a problem now, but an arrow showing the shortest route seems like it'd be better.
3. I think they vastly improved the objective wheel in the final game. It was not clear enough in the preview version.
4. Turrets seem far more lethal in the preview version. They're fine in the final version as assistance, which is really how they should be I think.
5. The mid-match cutscenes in single player really add to the campaign. Shame they nicked them.
I love Brink as it is (minus the rubbish online ATM on 360 of course), but it definitely could stand to improve on some superficial things. The gameplay is very solid thankfully.
