Whats next after Skyrim?

Post » Sat Jul 23, 2011 11:06 pm

From what ive read i understand that all the elder scrolls lead up to the events that are going to be taking place in Skyrim. So my question is what happens next?Do the elder scrolls foretell of another threatening situation or do they end after Skyrim?

I would love some feedback so i can clarify

I would love to see something that deals with the plans of the Psijics... and of the Altmer's island kingdom since they do want to take over everything...

Mass Effect 3. Oh wait, you mean from Bethesda? I think it depends on how sucessful Skyrim is. I'm confident that whatever they make, I'll end up playing it.

Probably a break, If they continued with TES lore, I would like to see something of Akavir, that one continent with all the tiger people, and snake people, and all that jazz...

Though, something brand new would be cool. Something where they put just as much effort into it.

I want Akavir.

Even though I can't see that happening while including all the other major races from Tamriel, as Akavir is dominated by many hostile groups that have no love for the established races, I'd still like to see them swing by the continent in an eventual game or expansion.

Well, technically the writings in the elder scrolls about future events is always in flux. The writing within them doesn't become fixed until after the events take place. So while the cult of the ancestor moth are allowed to look ahead in the scrolls and can focus to get a prophecy about the future, it usually blinds them for life... So, its not like they probably do it too often, since once you are blind you can no longer see the scrolls.
I would guess that they don't bother looking ahead until the last foretold prophecy comes to pass. Why risk blindness just to see the same prophecy as the last guy?

Possible scenarios to dance around:
  • Someone finds previously unknown elder scrolls in a long lost ruin and whole new prophecies come into play.
  • A Dragon Break indeed happens and that serves as the explanation why the scrolls couldn't see past it.
  • It may be a game set in the same universe and with all the same elements. It just won't have the prefix "The Elder Scrolls" anymore.
  • Or the truly predictable may happen: they will just say "prophecy is done", but the world continues to exist nonetheless.

Fallout 4 will come next, my guess in late 2013 and hopefully a new TES 2016

Like I said guess, I know nothing like anyone else here but I thought I would add my 2 cents.

I would like Summerset Isles though

After this, they MUST do....
Fallout 4! Or they could call it Fallout:Australia. All the fallout games have been in America! Or maybe TES VI: Orsinium. They have had Imperials, Bretons, Dark Elves, Imperials and Nords. Why not Orcs homeland?

Yeah, that's a good idea. Not just be confined to one part of Tamriel, but go to all of it by boats or something.

Fallout 4, probably in Fall 2012. For next Elder Scrolls is quite debatable, I would like to see some of the races seen in the lore from Akavir, doesn't need to be playable though. I'm sure someone or something in Akavir would not kill you instantly, knowing you're from Tamriel. Maybe experience another proviince too, like going to Summerset Isle, or Black Marsh.

Edit:
Or go to Valenwood, as long as Bosmer were not as annoying as they were in Morrowind and Oblivion.
