If you are traveling the wastes with Preston Garvey, who is much better known than the General of the minutemen, then unless you run him past everyone, you'll see settlers and other NPCs go up to him and say "Hey, aren't you Preston Garvey of the Minutemen? and then give him something.
Preston has collected some cool stuff for me. A few hundred caps, a bunch of mini nukes, a couple of stealth boys, and a decent batch of stims and radaways.
However, as the general of the Minutemen, why can't they just give that stuff to me directly?
Will she still give you stuffs after you robbed her?
I see. I don't use companions, so I had no idea this was a thing.
Preston is one good companion I haven't used. I try to avoid him at all cost because when I do try to bring him along he got to give like 3 quest first.
See, I've solved that problem by weapon-butting him in the face every time he gives me one, and ignoring it until it fails. I'm the damn general. I decide where I go.
I avoided him too, but will he continue to give you quests, when he's your companion, or will that stop them?
Because people complained constantly in FO3 about the NPCs giving them stuff.
Because Preston is the leader of the Minutemen and you're his lackey, that's why you're always doing his works for him. It's an empty title like Executive Producer or something.
can someone please give him a live grenade?
Did not know this was a thing.
Never going to happen in my game, though, since Preston is currently tending Mutfruit in Sanctuary, and I avoid him like the plague.
I did one of his settlement quests, but I have no intention of ever letting him know, having read of his annoying habit of replacing each competed quest with three new ones.
There's no way I'm letting myself become his flippin' lackey.
At least twice an NPC gave Preston something that made him take his clothes off. Not sure what it was or where he put it, but damn.
