Whats the deal with windows 7 CS editing of the author and d

ssssssssooooooooooooooo.... a few months ago I changed my PC to windows 7 OS.

After following all the advice for setting up the modding tools for Oblivion via Windows 7 the one thing that irritated me more then anything was that when you tried to edit the description of the mod in the CS it would crash and corrupt the ESP file. I was told that this was a known issue and to use TesGecko to edit this field instead.

Well today by accident I discover this is no longer the case. Absentmindedly I edited the rev in my Combat Archery mod via the CS and saved and tested the changes I made in the new rev.

Then I rememberd...HEY...that is suppose to not work. Did Microsoft put out a update that actually mad windows 7 better?

Nope --- It doesn't corrupt it everytime but has a tendency to do so -- so it is best to avoid doing so (happens in XP and VISTA also) -- so best to use either Gecko or Bash to make the edits since they do not have the problem so why chance it !!

I believe its 'hit or miss' with what-ever computer you are currently using. I have found it always corrupts my mod so I use the Gecko.
