In the end I had to vote for Better level scaling although better combat, more weapons and a large land mass were right up there.

X It might be interesting to have thing in Fable that makes... Assets "naturally" bounce.

I think that would be under "more realistic physics".

I want a villan I hate. I didn't care about the super evil bad guys in Oblivion. The Collectors in ME2 were terribly "Lol im gunna kill you" I will be pleased beyond mentioning if we get better writing with a central villain. I hope Alduin isn't one dimensional.

You want to know the #1 way to make fans label your game Cliche? Make your villain super evil for no reason. Thanks. : )

and no physic guards.

I'd actually prefer a villain I don't hate but can kind of relate to - maybe one that's doing the wrong things but for some right reasons.

Actually, I'd actually prefer to toss out the idea/label of "villain(s)" with sort of "catalysts"(not precisely but for lack of a better word coming to mind) - groups or individuals that for better or worse are trying to make major changes. And it's, of course, up to you how/if you interact with them - join/aid, ignore, oppose. Since TES is open ended it seems more appropriate to have more of a loose "main conflict" in the place and time your character is in, instead of a "main quest". I guess I'm kind of rambling a bit off topic though at this point - that's just my personal opinion on the ideal approach to a sandbox game.

Other:

The thing that excites me the most is the new leveling system. From what it sounds like, I think it will be a simple clean and better system than Oblivion or Morrowind.

Has anybody mentioned: 64-bit executable or at least a LAA 32-bit executable finally?

I want a game that is as artistically accoplished and atmospheric as Morrowind, but I'm not holding my breath.

this is a moronic thread. an rpg is an intricate thing with many factors leading up to one thing. your poll is like asking us what we do we want for our house- walls, foundations, a ceiling, a floor or various pieces of furniture?.

I really don't think you should be calling anyone else's threads moronic.

Vampires, but there is no option for that I'll have to go with Werewolf.

Picked 'better stealth' because I didn't see the choice for a large, open play area.

That's what I want most.

I was going to say larger land mass but ended up voting for a better Ai as I feel that if the NPC's are smarter both in general and especially in combat that that will make the game a lot better. If the land is at least as large as Morrowind or Oblivion I will be OK with that

I voted larger land mass just because it means you can explore more and a truly great game is one which you don't have to be doing quests to enjoy. I would also like to add to this that I would like to see more unique occurrences that aren't part of quests for instance a unique weapon or an amazing piece of scenery that you just stumble upon while adventuring.

Guards. It didn't become too much of a problem when you acquired the Gray Fox's Mask, but until then it was frustratingly awkward.

A distinct sense of culture, ruggedness, and depth (whether it's really there or not, I want to feel like it is.)

I replaced hand to hand with this cause i would like to see that too and hand to hand had zero votes.

Better level scaling cause that was the most disapointing thing for me in oblivion.

yeah, but then again i thought the gray fox mask ruined all the fear of being caught and adrenaline involved with stealing/murder, so it was kind of a catch 22

I either want more weapons, more of a fantasy setting, better combat or... well thats it.

I do really hope there are pole-arms.

I think that would of fallen under "A Large land mass to explore with a variety of atmospheres, cities, etc."

Attributes!

Engaging and well-written quests are a must for me. I'm hoping the guild questlines will be very engrossing, but also have their fair share of random tasks and be nice and non-linear like Morrowind's were.

Creation Kit! I would like more options than in the Oblivion one, and definitely more than GECK. GECK seemed almost like a step down from TES Construction Kit when you really like at all the options.
