For me, Other:

A deep, immersive sense of place, history, and culture. (Which it sounds like we're getting.)

Other... for me the single most important thing is that when I finish the main quest/beat the game I don't end up saying "That's it? I spent $60 plus tax and invested all that time in the game... and they end it like that? I'm taking this back to Gamestop"

Rival guilds which you have to choose between (a la morrowind great houses)

I like this option. Take out (or spy on) rival guilds all while remaining loyal to your current one and friends of that guild.

Other, more than anything I want the game world to feel "alive", that the fantasy world simulator aspect of the game is well developed with NPCs and their tasks, the weather system, the eco system with animals and so on.

Better magic in general. I want the spells back too, but I can't choose between mark and recall and levitation.

Give me an Arena. That's the thing, which hasn't been confirmed, yet, that I want most.

There are many things I want, but I have faith that the game will be great.

My greatest worry at this point is that the dragons will be one dimensional villains. The development of the dragon language eases my mind somewhat of that though. I want to see dragons that go beyond the role of generic bad guys. I want there to be good dragons, neutral dragons, and of course villains.

Put simply, I want dragons that are more than generic bad guys

All the stuff in the poll can be added via mods. The only thing I really cared about for Skyrim were 2 things, NOT having 2.5 armor slots like Fallout, which has been confirmed(yippie!) and mods. Armor slots is something that gets little mod attention, based on OB and Fallout. So I worry about that. Stuff like extra perks, armor, quests, npcs, beasts, terrian types, dungeons, travel options, guilds, hardcoe mode, etc are all common things that get plenty of mod attention. So I don't worry about that kind of stuff. Its justs the stuff thats unlikely to get modded or can't get modded I think people should concern themselves with.

Really people almost everything I see asked for will surely get a mod, there were mods for all the kind of things you want in OB,MW & FO. I think it better to think more deeply about the stuff you suggest you will already get the simple stuff, stuff that is hard to change is want I want Beth to do the best job on and spend there time on. Why have them waste countless hours designing 1000 swords, when there will be 1000 sword mods.

Survival mode, esp since NV has done it.

guards not being omniscient should be a given.

also much more stuff to do in combat, DF has spoiled me so.

@Kefka

I'd much prefer if hardcoe mode were hard-coded into the game. The modded-in version I saw for oblivion was a bit clunky...

Voted other - From what I've heard Bethesda is doing everything right by me (except I don't know if homes are in it, because I love having a house) but I'm afraid their magic system and effects are going to be as horrid as Oblivion's. I think more immersive, compelling and eye-popping spells are the most important things that need to be included. Fireballs should look like fire, people should not necessarily glow for every buff or debuff, magic should look like magic. Perhaps little glowing tendrils of fire would be whipping around you from a fire shield - things like that except of greater variety depending on type, volume/strength, cast method. Very important.

There is a creation kit for mods and there will be multiple armor slots not like Fallouts(i.e more than 2.5 equipment slots will be in the game).

@Xeivous, I am sure a hardcoe mod will be much better designed now, because of the work seen on Fallout mods has improved overall quality.

Other: an interesting world to explore with a unique sense of culture. Morrowind nailed it, Oblivion failed it.

Smarter enemies, so that difficulty setting would be the only thing that changes how difficult the game is. The harder you play on, the smarter the enemies, but also slighly more powerful, a la not Oblivion kind of difficulty. Not morrowind kind of difficulty.

In Fo 3, the difficulty option made much more sence: if you play on more difficult, you get more XP. In Fo NV obsidian took it away.. Why? Idk.
In Oblivion, yes if you had more difficulty, you must hit the enemy more times and thus making your blade skill, for example, increase more compared to the 1 hit KO things when playing on easier.

Same. The other options in the poll, while I want most of them, are small individual items (sometimes easily modded in the game) not as important compared to a unique sense of culture.

i picked more weapons spears crossbows simply because most of the other stuff can be modded in at some point much easier than adding new weapon types and new animations to go with them.
