Whats with blood decals in oblivion?

Post » Wed Oct 13, 2010 6:34 am

I've been looking for something to fix this, some sort of mod or something to fix where the damn blood decals land. facing a opponent and attacking will result in him getting his legs bloodied, typically within a short range on said legs too. oh, and some other things. if im close to the person and i aim up at the sky, i will still hit the person! its almost like a lame auto aim feature gone horribly wrong.

so...

1.) i would like to know if there is a fix that actually allows decals to spawn where i hit, instead of randomly on the legs. (or with animals, on the underside.)

a.) why are the decals screwed up, and is there a fix?

B) how does the blood system work anyway?

b.) is there any mods that will add better blood spray?

thanks in advance.

Skycaptain's blood time, good man. Very good blood mod, blood actually looks like blood and not some cartoon tomato spray.

Hmm maybe you should just enjoy the game more instead of caring so much about the blood. I actually have it off since it serve me no purpose. Yes it′s only realistic to see it when hitting someone with a sword but I honestly have no need to see it in a game.
(Yes it IS just a game, just to remind you all) :)

i actually found that it was just another .ini tweak, which i have done extensively. unfortunately, i cannot make the decal system work right with an .ini file.

i won't lose sleep if i don't find a fix, but i cant stand to see a bug so glaring just sitting there. and i dont want to play with NO blood. neither do i want to have blood with screwed up placement; i cant believe they haven't tried to fix it.

thanks for the feedback though. btw, i've played deadly reflex. thats not what im looking for; im just looking for a bug fix rather than a gameplay changer.

I think the blood is annoying in this game as if your near a wall all of the strikes send a lot of blood on the wall then in the end of the fight you will have a large amount of tomato paste looking crap on the wall diapered at the same time.

Actually, I have never noticed the blood when i first started the game. Not so surprising, I have never ever ever ever used a weapon, instead, magic. Thanks for starting the thread, really!
