Whats your Armour type?

Madness Armor from the Shivering Isles was my favorite, specifically the helmet. So if they have some type of armor with a similar helmet I'll be happy.

White fur and black silk over sword-resistant quasi-divine heroic flesh. Only weaklings wear protective armour!

Type proper English, boy.

Anyhow, I prefer light armour due to the fact that heavy armour makes you run slower. I like to make my char run as fast as possible while still having SOME armour.

Glass, but I would like to make the color of the armor different. Can you imagine a black glass armor?
And please, change the helmet design.. *cringes*

I choose my armor for cosmetic reasons...thus I would like the option to buff armor considerably once I have mastered the smithing skill. I hated that in oblivion some of the coolest looking armor/clothing had the worst stats.

My first character, Sibyl, will wear those cloths, leathers, and furs, that would best suit those of a Nord shamaness. Perhaps, even a bit of bone.
My bardess, Anglaise Cantabile, will wear something similar, for her choosen vocation, possibly with a bit of chain here and there, etc.

I am seeing mostly cloth, leather and fur, however, for both of these characters.

In Oblivion, I usually used the dark brotherhood leathers or chainmail.

Well light armour has always been my favourite, seeing as how I always play as a stealth orientated/traveller class. And if Skyrim ends up using seperate armour skills (light, heavy) then I'll of course stick to light armour. Unless, of course, the armour designs aren't to my liking (absolutely HATED glass armour in Oblivion, LOVED it in Morrowind), where I wont use any armour. My Dark Brotherhood character in Oblivion doesn't have any armour as a major skill (Dark Hand robe+hood ftw) primarily because I strongly disliked examples of both light and heavy armour, and I didn't want to be forced to wear that awful glass armour simply because it was the best quality set. Not terribly impressed with amber armour either.

On the other hand, if Skyrim has only one armour skill that lets you concentrate on more than one armour weight I'll definately use both light and medium (if they include it, obviously). Light for generall outdoors travelling/exploring and thieving/assassination missions (if i go down that path), and medium for more specialised situations where I think stealth combat may be impossible.

What I REALLY want is for armour of all types to be designed with the environment and cold climate of Skyrim in mind. Several fur sets like in Morrowind, rather than just the one in Oblivion. Lots of leathers. All would look amazing with cloaks for the outdoors. Even some heavy armor sets should include fur trappings or lining to visualy emphasise the frigid tempreture. It adds another level of thoughtfulness. Think of all the armour types in Morrowind that were made from organic materials of the island's native creatures, and included face masks and goggles for protection against the blight storms. I hope that level of effort is put into Skyrim's armour design.

Ps Bethesda Please fix your glass and orcish armour; that samurai-esque orcish armour in Morrowind was so [censored] sweet!

I will be in the nvde. Well ill have maybe blue tattoos if its supported.

ON a serious note.

I always used heavy play armor. Because I always played the "paladin" type and always strong against daedra/undead.

In Morrowind, I always loved full Daedric Armor except for Dragonbone Cuirass (I had ~150% magic resistance and 100% reflect with Royal Signet ring, but at the time not 100% resistance to fire. I used fire-based attacks meaning a reflected fire-attack could have potentially harmed me), Boots of Blinding Speed, and one of the Her-Hands Gauntlets. Doubt I'd see all of that in Skyrim, but it sure would be awesome to see some of those legendary items again!

Leather and fur because it looks nice and feels the most adventurous.
I never cared for all the plate armor and such I was like level 25 with the same leather cuirass with the bandit seal on it(The one where you fight the guys on the ship) from level 4
And it looks nice! :)

Great minds think alike :hehe:
I always loved that look more than any other. Completely agree that it felt the most adventurous. A little bit rugged and dirty. But I would also include the netch leather/chintin types into this catagory as well; always been partial to them.
