Heh, it makes me fairly disgusted that so many people have fun mock-praising a genocidal ultra-totalitarian pseudo-government that happily slaughters people out of some confused ideal based on racial purity and nationalism. I know, people are taking the piss, but I do have family members who were involved in WW2. Anyways, skipping the personal anecdotes and desire to make OTT flames, let's talk FO3 politics, philosophy, morality, and whatnot.

The way I see it, the only good Enclave member is a stone cold dead Enclave member. Doesn't matter who they are, where they are, or what they're claiming to do, because they deserve death merely by association with the Enclave. Anyone helping the Enclave is at best a collaborator and thus deserves to die. Horribly. Doesn't matter why, doesn't matter that his kids will be killed if he refuses, or that he was brainwashed, or that he really doesn't want to do what he's doing. The Enclave and all associated with them are scum and the more they all suffer before expiring, the better.

Sounds harsh? Well, it's the only way to fight that kind of human garbage. If they offer no compassion then they shouldn't expect any. Fighting fire with fire tends to leave the whole damn world burnt to a crisp, but seeing as the Enclave scum already saw to that by nuking everything to hell, there's really no convincing reason to hold back in the slightest. That being said, I'm not entirely heartless. I wouldn't feed Enclave infants to feral ghouls but advlts and mentally polluted teens are fair game. Anything goes. Disassociate or die painfully, knowing that your last act in this universe was to bring a smile to the face of a very angry anti-totalitarian, who pisses on everything the Enclave stands for.

They're here to clean up the mess they created themselves, by butchering what few people they didn't manage to kill during the nuclear holocaust? Riiight. And serving "your country"? A country consists of the people inhabiting it. The leaders of the old US of A tried to butcher the vast majority of their fellow Americans. Claiming any governmental privilege, rank, or authority is beyond ridiculous. Those rotten bastards can burn for all I care. :flamethrower:

I'm primarily with the Regulators, though I wear Ranger armor (because Regulator dusters look better than they protect). We dedicate our lives to bringing the evil to justice. And out here in the wasteland, justice consists of hot death in a variety of exciting flavors.

Of course, I serve with the Brotherhood, I aid the Outcasts, and I protect the Railroad.

My faction? It's simple. I side with a small collection of pre-war Protectrons with unique programming. They believe they are the Founding Fathers. They're not, but they're the best we've got right now. The vision they hold for America is a land where the rule of law leads to freedom, equality, respect for others, and a healthy dose of honor.

The others? The BoS had a good idea, but they got lost along the way, and forgot what their founder (who rejected unlawful orders at Mariposa) was trying to do. Lyons and Ashur are the closest to remembering, but even they are off the mark...especially Ashur. The Outcasts are like a more selfish version of the Western BoS, who don't even bother with observing the surroundings to see if they need to put down a major threat. The Raiders and Slavers are pure scum. The Enclave? Sorry, I will not bend knee to unelected autocrats claiming a pedigree from the legitimate government. I don't care what kind of tech they have, I've seen what they actually do. Executing people for being different from you? Absolutely unsat. I reject King George, no matter how he dresses himself up.

Of those I haven't commented on, only the Family needs further comment. So long as they refrain from hurting people, they're tolerable. They slip back into predatory cannibalism and they'll get the same treatment that Andale got.

Canterbury Commons, though? Good folks there. Megaton would be okay too, but their Sheriff/Mayor is actively trying to set up a dynasty. Not a big fan of that. Merit is what matters, not who your daddy is. And Rivet City's leadership is composed of a good 'man', a reactionary, self-absorbed scientist, and a lying sack of elitist [censored]. He'd be happier at Tenpenny, except that he wouldn't get to lord over other people there.

Megaton: I actually like Simms, consider him an exception to the rule.
Tenpenny: An ancient, bigoted SOB who wants to nuke a town because it spoils his view. Charming.
Arefu: A fairly useless excuse for a sheriff.
Big Town: Do they even have a leader? They're all pretty hapless.
Rep. of Dave: A self-obsessed weiner.
Raven Rock: A psychotic AI.
Lamplight: A potty-mouthed little brat.
The Family: A dude who drinks blood.
Paradise Falls: A guy who sells people like cattle.

secondly reilys rangers because ill pretend that reily hired me to escort carvans, and ill follow them for X amount of time until they reach another major city
