The first house mod I downloaded for Morrowind was http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2064, and I fell in love. That house makes me feel truly safe and serene amidst the dangers of Vvardenfell. I also love http://erstamsrealm.net/mymods.htm, for its pretty location, and a spacious, romantic layout that is pretty spare so you can decorate yourself. ^_^

I'm a svcker for Castle Vianden . So much so that I have a ( private ) extension to the Juliette Basemant that is a private appartment , sorting room , storage room and display area ( as if Vianden didn't have sufficient display mannequins already ! ) . I love the size and roomyness and the fact that is near Sadrith Mora and Wolverine Hall .
I also use Monica's Buyable Ghorak Mansion in Caldera : it's a great residence and my prefered west coast abode .

I've never had any luck finding anything that was... supremely dwemer. Usually it'd be a fixed up home Dwemer with roses and carpets. Never found something grittier...

For me it's Ice's Hideaway. Nothing makes me feels more at home. Solstheim Castle is also pretty amazing. Lush yet cozy.
