For example i wanted to play with a bow but now im thinking all magic. I hear the bow svcks because you dont even need to aim.
Also whats a good dps class based on class skills.
iirc the bow is too OP at the current stage. It might be nerfed before launch.
The magic I had a hard time doing because of the high magicka cost of spells. I think once you get enchantments this is mitigated, but those don't come until later.
Played beta, but was more focused on finding and reporting bugs than determining a play style.
Will admit I was underwhelmed by bow-fighting, and I was especially irritated at being involuntarily pulled out of crouch (sneak) after firing my first shot at an enemy target.
I'm going full healing. It is true that spells cost A LOT of magicka though. I had to be careful not to spam heals too much or I'd be screwed.
I started beta intending to play a heavy armor , melee DW role. Ended up trying it out, enjoyed it too, but what I really enjoyed and will play n release is a light armor staff sorcerer. True that you can't cast spells all the time, but I didn't feel the lack of mana too much. Used the staff for nuking in-between casting and it seemed to work pretty well.
I would run out of mana if fighting 3+ mobs, but a bit of kiting and the mana was regenerated. I also used cooking to make some + max mana, or +mana regen food/drinks.
A lot of mana-saving, mana-pool-boosting, and mana-regen skills too. The higher level you get, the more efficient your mana usage will be.
I usually play a sorcerer and my first char was just that, a Dunmer with Ebonheart. After I got him to level 10, so he could go fight, I rolled a Redguard Dragonknight and had a great deal of fun with him. I may take my Imperial to Daggerfall as a DK, I enjoyed that so much. I have a Bosmer stealth bow guy too, and he is a another surprisingly fun build.
