What is your favourite house mod for fallout 3

I've tried quite a few, but the first house mod I used was "The Club House" (Megaton version) and it's still in my lineup to this day! I don't actually use it that much, but I always drop in for a look around from time to time. It's a beautiful mod IMO!

The 2nd one I used was DTOM's Rivet City Apt, and it still serves as my crash pad and drop off point in Rivet City.

Then I downloaded the incredible "Built for the Future" base and used that for a while.

Somewhere along the way I decided to build my own Command Center and that ultimately became my "Chekov's Place" mod, and that's my main base of late.

Also, I got permission from the original "Built for the Future" mod to make some changes, upgrades and enhancements to his original work and that developed into my "Back to the Future" update to cdaggers original base. He liked it so much that he actually endorsed my upgrades! (I can think of no higher compliment!)

Also, another one I really liked was the CLEP home by Miss Sparkles. It is really cool!

Maintenance Shed is the only house mod that I've used for a long long time now.

Easy to get to, no frills, lots of different storage containers so I can organize till my heart is content.

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6394 is a nice starter house, especially if you play with mods like FWE and MMM.

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1434 is a nice overhaul (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12339) of the Megaton House.

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9592 is another one in my game.

and lastly http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9420.

I try to look for house mods that 1) fit in with the game's look/feel, 2) are not god houses and 3) that you can't just get for free, you actually have to obtain. The only one that doesn't fit in with #3 really is Mini Hideout, but it's such a nice, quaint little house...Unfortunately Fallout Who: The Last Child of Gallifrey conflicts with that mod and my love of Dr. Who won over my love of the house.

I've used lots, I don't know if I have a favourite. The one I'm using at the moment is http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5066. I can park it anywhere. But, it's not companion-friendly. They just can't seem to figure out how to get through the door. I just tell mine to stand guard outside it, instead.

Others that I use now and then are:
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11683 - can be used alongside or in place of the other house.
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3456
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1515
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4207 - if using MMM and/or FWE it's hard to get there in one piece ;)

I have used a few, and like all of them.

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6789 adds a small house with a cellar in Springvale and a quest. The living room is actually built in the exterior, giving exterior light. It also has a number of nice touches, such as a light switch, a TV that can be turned on and off and even a bit more.

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11452 a small, cosy shack, placed near the Superduper Mart. It is slightly unbalanced as it contains an Alien Blaster, but no one forces you to take and use it.

My own http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14298 is a modification of the sniper shack adding a few in-game customization options.

You should also look at My Mansion Player Home (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11852) - it's HUGE, and the new version has a ridiculous amount of mannequins (although you have to find a hidden switch to find them :))

Cheers, BW
