So... Whats Your Name? Or more speccifically, what is your name going to be in Skyrim, are you one one of those guys who spends ages thinking of names for your characters using different methods (alot of people use latin but i personally will be using Draconic for this game), or do you just think of a cool random name and use that, do you use your real name? Or do you prefer people to sing heroic ballads of bravery to their children, and thier childrens children forever, of the wonderous and epic deeds of the one and only great warrior named by all as "Player"? xD

I personally have not chosen a name yet as i am waiting for Bethesda to release more Draconic words so i can make an epic one myself for my awesome Nord character, but i want to hear what you guys have for your characters

Nah, I usually just make up something that could be a dunmer name or an orcish name etc. Maybe add a little humor in it. Like having a Nord named Aage Balleknusar etc. Having names thet rhymes with names from previous titles is also something i do.

In oblivion my name was Jerald.
So in skyrim it will be 'Krehald FIN KRah', that means Krehald the cold

Even though I'm a dude I always play female characters. I've chosen the name Sylvia from Ultima 6 to Daggerfall to Morrowind to Oblivion to Fallout 3.

Oh, but as far as my characters go, I always try to pick lore-specific names. I use http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/index.php?p=modding_data/ngen site and http://www.silgrad.com/oblivion/rangen/ site as vague starting points, as well as looking at the lists of names on UESP to get a good feel of what type of names are appropriate for whatever race I'm picking, then I just get creative.

My Dovahkiin for Skyrim will be a female Nord named Vannora Shale-Fist.

Silvertongue because that was my Oblivion guys name and i'm rp-ing that my Ejnar is his descendant and that the name was adopted as the name of the house of Silvertongue and all born of that line have that surname

I'm still bouncing around names in my head. Really hoping that Lycanthropy will be included in the game and if so I will definitely be trying to get a name that will just roll of the tongue and be fitting for a Nord with the werewolf strain.

It will probably be my name(Connor), the first time I play it. After that, I'm not sure.

Race is Dunmer. Can't belive it took me months to make a legit Dunmer name, and i stole the last name from a Dunmer bandit in Morrowind.

From the humble pounded ash floors of his father's pawn shop, he found honor and prestige in noble works for House Redoran. He found welcome and a second family with the Sarethis. Destiny smiled on him... until the cursed Oblivion gates started opening. The loss of Ald'ruhn nearly unmanned him, but that was before Red Mountain erupted, utterly destroying all hope of restoring the power and glory of Redoran. Things were pretty bleak, and then the damnable Argonians came. Old, friendless, alone, and rotting in a Nord prison, he contemplates what sick joke the God's play at his expense by having him live through 3 cataclysms. He only wishes he could have met his end in combat, beside his brothers, instead of humiliated on the headsman's stump. And then...

Not sure if I'll make a Dunmer or Nord yet, but if it's a Nord his name will be Skor'vald.
