Whats your perfect game start?

I tend to restart my game way to often. I see a neat looking mod, and say to myself, I should start a new game and check it out! Needless to say, the intro of the game starts getting annoying. I am curious as to how other people start their game.

I have noticed that with project Nevada, and a few other mods, the beginning powder ganger fight can be nightmarish (which is fun). Even with IWS, extra town guards I died a few times. Try beating back raiders with energy weapons (tweaked with eve), incinerators, 50cal sniper rifles.

Anyhow after that, the choice is either go down the golden brick road (The way they want you to go, primm, 188, strip). Or attempt to not drop soap and run north dodging rad-scorpions, deathclaws, gangers, fiends. (In dangerous mixes because of warzones mod.

Now, I am really considering just bypassing all that and going to the strip straight off. Using something like the millennium falcon mod (Summon a virtibird to fast travel). Make my gambling fortune, buy some combat armor and fly back to goodsprings. And butcher my way up the golden brick road.

*Shrugs*
So how about you guys/gals, what things do you do in a new game?

I'm mostly doing this in the following steps:

Nipton (grab awesome Ranger armor from a mod), Snipers Nest (grab awesome sixy sniper), wander the wastes for ammo, cash and buy an Anti Material Rifle when I can and just do side quests until 30ish then keep doing MQ (usually stops right before I'm to enter the Strip).

So I mostly wander around shooting things before they know what hit them.
Using Project Nevada of course + Desert Armour + a lot more.
A lot of fun with the Portable Tent mod(s) when you can setup camp over night and make food. Or go night hunting with Night Vision/Heat Vision.

I love project nevada. Combat armor with its night vision is a life saver. I used to be a gun person until eve. The new critical deaths are really amazing.

The food mod sounds interesting. My biggest pet peeve with it is finding enough food to not starve to death. My survival skill tends to always be low. Yes, I could just alter the options to slow down food consumption, but I like having to eat fairly often. (Just way to hard to find pre-cooked food). I think the willow companion mod is supposed to cook for you, but not sure if nevada messes with that because of the rancid/etc food.

Anyhow, sorry for any rambling, on way to many migraine meds atm. :P

Just made a clean reinstall to try nVamp.
And got it to work after about 30 minutes of failing.

Time to try!
