Whats your rig and framerate with it?

Post » Thu Dec 30, 2010 9:46 pm

My rig is...

- Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 OC to 4x3.0 GHz
- Leadtek WinFast GTX 260 Extreme+
- 4GB DDR2 RAM
- Win7 Ultimate 64-bit
- 23.1" Fujitsu Siemens Amilo LSL 3230T 1920x1080
- Roccat Kone+ mouse and standart keyboard

I have to say that I changed the graphic options via autoexec.cfg between Very High and Extreme and I normally get around 50 FPS

(But I will upgrade to a GTX 460 in the next days)

why the hell did you get the 460?

Cause I want to play Games in DX11 and it was a special offer from a trader here in Germany. So I can sell my 260 for more money than the 460 costs :D

But I am wondering where you guys got all the money to buy a rig like an i7 and GTX 580 ... I am happy with my system as long as it works.

you don't have to go with the 580 mate... I mean i would much rather go with one of the ATI cards if i was to upgrade! 6990 anyone? Currently i have the 6870 - at it is pretty much the equivalent of the 460 except i got it when it came out :s

Asus m4a89gtd usb3
Amd 1055t @ 3.8ghz
Zotac GTX 580
4 GB OCZ Gold ddr3 1600
Seagate 250gb + 500gb
Asus Xonar D2
Corsair HX650
Coolermaster 690 v2 windowed case
Coolermaster V8 Cooler
Logitech Z5500 5.1
Sennheiser 485 Headphones
Razer Mamba
Logitech dinovo wireless keyboard

I play at 1200p on my Benq fp241w and sometimes 1080p on my Samsung 40" lcd.

I usually get 60 fps v-synced on extreme with occasional drops to a minimum of 48 fps.

I don't earn a lot of money. I bought these components over time and sold things whenever I upgraded to help with the costs.

Yeah, I just bought the 460 cause a special offer. So the 6870 would cost twice as much as I paid for the 460 :D

why do you need 12 gigs of ram? its retarded! no game will - EVER - EVER - need half as much!!!

The only thing that could be used for is perhaps video rendering - then you need x64 version + it will STILL NOT USE 12 GB OF **** RAM!

Well my dad isn't buying me a new monitor any time soon...so this is it for now..If I can get a 1920 x 1080 one on my birthday...I'll be getting GTX 460 with it...but for now:

AMD Athlon II X4 @ 3.55 GHz
4GB DDR3-1600 MHz
XFX GeForce GT 240 GDDR5 @ (640/1550/3800) (core/shader/mem)
750GB 7200RPM HDD.

19" 1440x900 Monitor. Very High settings 35-50 FPS.

Or I'll wait even longer for GTX 560 Ti prices to come down then the GTX 660 is released. And then get one of those over the GTX 460.

Anybody get the benchmark for the game to work?......I noticed the file there but it never works.
use Fraps.

I run the following:
GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5
AMD Phenom II x6 T1100 (6x 3.6Ghz)
2x Radeon HD6970 2Gb (Crossfire Obviously)
8GB Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600 Mhz
Some random 1TB Hard Drive.
Keyboard, Mouse and Headset are the Razer Starcraft Edition.
(Also have the Razer Megalodon but that is the biggest piece of thrash ever and I'm currently demanding a full refund.)
Wireless-N 300 USB Adapter SITECOM WL-329 GM Gaming Adapter II

Extreme Graphics @1920x1080
Avg FPS while idle: ~90 FPS
FPS durning big battles: Avg: ~63.275 FPS
