I'm guessing around 2 weeks. Now sure how long it takes to get millions of copies ready, but 1-2 weeks sounds like a fair estimate. We already know they've been developing the manuals.

General availability (GA)
General availability or general acceptance (GA) is the point where all necessary commercialization activities have been completed and the software has been made available to the general market either via the web or physical media. Another term with a meaning almost identical to GA is first customer shipment (FCS). In some areas of software development it is at this stage that the release is referred to as a gold release; this seems to be confined mainly to game software.
Some release versions might be classified as a long term support (LTS) release, which should guarantee the ability to upgrade to the next LTS release and will be supported/updated/patched for a longer time than a non-LTS release.

I mean the earlier they go Gold and start manufacturing the discs, the higher the possibility of a leak. They have a leak a week before release isn't as bad as if they go Gold around the 25th and have a leak 2 weeks before release. Morrowind went Gold 8 days before launch. NV was 17 days. I'm going with November 1st.

"Gold" Doesnt mean ready to be shipped. It means ready for production.

This is a worldwide release. Itll definitely be well before November 1st imo. October 25 is my best guess

Beth usually does there's around 2 weeks before launch. Morrowind was 8 days, Oblivion was 17 days, NV was 17, Fallout 3 was 19 days, RAGE was 18.

Looks like 17 days is around the sweetspot. The official requirements were announced along side the Gold announcement with both Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

10 days. Uncharted just went gold today, and it comes out 10 days before Skyrim, so I expect that Skyrim will go gold 10 days after Uncharted did.
