When are you going to buy Skyrim?

So, when do you think you'll buy Skyrim? For me I think it will be a pre-order.

Probably a few months post-release. I might wait for the initial price drop, usually the $60 -> $50 depending on the reviews and patching that has been done at that time. If there are still issues or the modding community isn't fairly vibrant, I'll wait for the $30 price point a year or so out.

I normally wait for games, but I am more excited about Skyrim than any game ever, so I will get it as soon as humanly possible.

The poll should have been there right away but it didn't add for some reason. xD

I'll definitely pre-order the Collector's Edition! :D (Could have that option as well?)

Pre-order. I don't think I've ever been this hyped for a game. I'd want it as fast as possible. (Screw the bugs).

I'll pre-order the game in the store i buy all my games from. (collectors edition ofcourse) Wouldn't want to end up not being able to buy the game when it comes out. If that would happen i'd lurk near the pre-order games stand until i see some kid collect his collectors edition so i can chase him down and take it from him at whatever the cost.

I honestly don't know. The AWFUL spanish translation of Oblivion left me with absolutely no intention of repeating the experience of buying it at any local store. So I've thought of buying it though Steam.

On the other hand, I'd like to have the physical Collector's Edition (as I said, in English if possible), and to have it on the release day. So I'm pretty much undecided...

I`ll pre-order CE for my Xbox 360 on Play.com as i`ve always been impressed with them. I`ll eventually get standard edition on my PC at a later date :D

I expect it to be more like Oblivion than Morrowind, so I'll wait for the price to drop and a whole bunch of mods to be released. Depending on the DRM system implemented, I may wait till I can get it on GOG ^_^

I was going to pre-order like I did with FO:NV. Now I'm waiting because of the possibility that spell creation has been removed. I will certainly buy Skyrim, but if it is released on time... that means Steams Holiday sales is around the corner and for me it comes down to this:

No Spell Creation = Buy On Sale

I understand where you're coming from.

I'm getting to the point more and more that I can't fathom buying it on release day at all; buying later gets you a better product (Patches are out), at a cheaper price, and gives you the same amount of enjoyment out of the product.

I've managed to get myself about 2 years behind on game releases, which works perfectly for me. I can buy games on the cheap, and they're just exactly as new from my perspective.

Pre-order and ship to me.

I find online shopping for video games more comfortable and enjoyable than going to store.

As soon as both the Creation Kit and a non-Steam, non-GFWL version is available.

I'm going to pre-order it sometime during the summer. Even though I don't need to worry theres going to be hundreds of copies left because most people here have 360 and Elder Scrolls does not seem to be that popular around here. So I am very likely to secure a PS3 copy of Skyrim but I'll pre-order any way to get bonuses if there is any.

After the first major bugfix is out I'll consider it. Pretty sure the game will ship in a broken state.

Just have to swing by my local Gamestop. They're pretty notorious for releasing things prior to release date. I have no idea how they can get away with breaking agreements so often.

You are asking a bunch of people who are hanging around a forum dedicated to the game 10 months before its release, what do you think the answer is?
