When is best to start Lonesome Road

Looking at the summary of Lonesome Road, if start at the wrong time in the game could screw things up.

I assume Lonesome Road should be the last DLC done.

BUT, in relation to Fallout NV main quests Of couse, I assume it must be doen BEFORE the final trip to Hover Dam.

As late as possible, from my estimation. It varies from person to person, but I've heard several people say they like to do it right before the Battle of Hoover Dam.

Yeah, you got it right. Best to save it as the final DLC. But as for when during main questline, I'd say it'd be appropriate to do it anytime after you're in the midst of working with a faction. As in, you know who you're siding with and maybe you've done a quest or two for them. You get an item at the end of the DLC that is based on which faction you favor.
