When can we expect to see a demo? : V

Just wondering what your opinions are on when you expect we will see a demo available to the public, I'm hoping it'll be no later than may although i am optimistic about that.

We will never see a demo of Skyrim in the public format. E3 will give gamers an opportunity but thats about it.

As James Bond says, never say never (again). It makes sense to create a playable, public demo via xbox Live, PSN, that doesn't necessarily mean the demo will appear before the game is released, but, as with Mass Effect 2, a Post-Release demo can still spur the reigns of install base growth, but giving people who may not be willing to drop the cold 60(US)100(AUS) on a gamble, no matter how stacked the deck is in the consumer's favor.

Bethesda hasn't released a public demo since Daggerfall. Somehow I don't think they're going to start now.

I'd much rather they focused on polishing the game than diverting time and resources into making a demo.

They released a demo for Redguard too

But yeah, neither Morrowind or Oblivion had any demo. I think it's fairly safe to say it's unlikely that Skyrim will have a demo.

Last week Pete Hines tweeted "There will be no demo for Skyrim" including some other stuff, he mentioned why but i don't remember what it was.

Most likely something to do with having finite development resources and wanting to devote those to the full game, which coincidentally is my opinion on the matter. The game will come in time. I'd rather it was slightly more polished than slightly more spoilt.

Too much time consuming to develop a demo for a open ended world game like Skyrim,let them use that time to perfect the game instead of wasting it on a demo i say.

Pete Hines twittered they werent going to release a demo because it would be impossible with the engine.
