Actually most consoles are based on the powerpc- structure which is from IBM. These structures were formerly used for Macs for example.
Or for servers. So the consoles are based on a PC structure...but not like the one used in common Windows Desktop PCs.
And again logan... being offensive helps no one .
Crysis 1 could be achieved on consoles. With Cryengine 3 a port would be possible.
BUT: Crytek decided not to do so because the porting would destroy the game.
The downscaling that is needed would not bring you guys a worthy playin` experience.
Crysis 1 is a experience because of all that stuff that Crytek would have to cut out for a console version. ( Shadows, Textures, Draw Distance etc.)
So i think there will not be a consoleversion for C1. Sorry .

Consoles have the hardware of a 2005 PC pretty much. It is comparable to the Pentium D and 7800GT, which doesn't even utilize CUDA technology. Consoles are very weak and their old age has been showing for atleast a year now.

Before I came to this site, I didn't even know Crysis was known for graphics.
My friend showed some footage of it on a low-definition player (old Youtube).
It just looked awesome, which is what interested me in the 2nd Crysis.

I'd prefer the old Nintendo games to half of today's games.
Graphics mean nothing to me, and the most popular games are actually the ones with bad graphics (Black Ops for example). Gameplay > every other aspect.

Dude Crysis 1 could NEVER EVER EVER run on consoles.

CryEngine 2, which Crysis is run by, isn't optimized very well, and I doubt it would even run, let alone play.

Unless they place all the files and make it work within CE3, it could be a possibility, albeit a few problems, in terms of graphics.

that wont happen unless sony and microsoft are willing to put reall power into their consols. As of now, it wont play it.

If Crysis ever had a console remake, it would be very useful to enlighten the story of the first for the second.
