15.) Descent: Venture Pack
As for a Descent IV: Invasion well that is the last name that rings my bell, even that it was a fan based concept using Descent 3's technology which was based on the Fusion engine programmed for the 3dfx 355 Avenger rasterizer which became the Voodoo3 chip, the Glide API was the best for the Fusion engne it had no bugs or glitching just perfect scenes OpenGL and Direct3D were added for support but these didn't bring the Fusion Engine to it's best looks and use.
And we all know what happened to 3dfx they were bought over by NVIDIA Cooperation, on December 21 2000 after 3dfx closed their doors on December 15 2000.
soa D4 using the Fusion Engine would seem somewhat useless, so it was delayed and delayed , and this also tooks it's toles. Descent IV: Invasion was the last thing that came to mind by some afns, more likea mod for D3 but with a campagn taking the sotry futher and beyond the plot of Descent 3: The Saga Returns.
for the open Descent Foundation I did a role script for such a campagn and it has been completed I also completed a mission pack for this D4 they were working on, it attracted alot of happy faces, but I dunno if the ODF is still alive and I kinda can't remember where the website of it is, might be because of the rough few weeks I experienced, my mind has been lost somewhat with a few things, the ncle I lost of cancer, it just piles up.
