When did Prophet get the Nanosuit 2?

Post » Thu Nov 11, 2010 7:36 pm

Spoiler

As I understand it from all the posts about what happened between Crysis 1 and 2 and what happened to Nomad and Psycho, Prophet was suppose to have been wearing already the ver2 suit but according to the images from Crysis his suit is the same as everyone else is wearing.
So when did he get the ver 2 suit?

while in Crysis2 the suit looks like this, look at mask:

I think the holes in the story should be filled by Crytek, I would like to hear an official story or maybe it would be nice to know that they will make an expansions that explain the time between Crysis 1 and 2. :-)

As far as I know there is no setting for grain film like the one you had in Mass effect 2.
You can try playing around with the settings I guess:
Crysis 1 Graphic Menu:

Crysis2 Advance settings (PC only)

Or you playing on highest settings, PC or Consol?
Spoiler: - Crysis1: Is a still from a cinematic in the game before Jester dies.
Crysis2: Think this might be a still from an unlocked vid from Prophets memory
Otherwise not sure maybe someone else knows...

Not sure what you mean? That is Jester in the background, in the front is Prophet and Psycho. They all are wearing V1 nanosuit.

I agree oniskb. I wish there was more continuity in regards to the suit. Especially since they even referred to it as Nanosuit 2 when they were poromoting the game. How can you promote it as Nanosuit 2 and then pretend it's the suit he always had to begin with?

prophet had N1 in crysis 1, he lost his sanity cuz of that suit(he was in it for too long), he came back and disappeared. now i don't if Crynet gave him N2 before he disappeard or he stole it, he did have N1 so its not that hard for him

Read the book, Crysis: Legion, there is a lot about Alcatraz and Prophet

It's not that hard to understand, but if you actually read around the forum on all the different versions on what happened in that time between 1 and 2. Some people were saying that everyone on Prophets team eventually died due to the contamination of coming into contact with the aliens on the island in Crysis1 and Prophet survived because he already had the v2 suit on, which is not the case.
It would have been nice if there was the background story included with the game, e.g. E-book Crysis: Legion to explain all this.
Not everybody read the book or knew of it so there is a lot of people out there wondering WTF and there is so many different views on what happened that it would be nice to have an official one for the game.

This pretty much sums up everything that is wrong with Crysis2's story.

"3 year gap" is not an answer to the OP's question. It's actually a direct attempt to evade the OP's question, much like Crysis 2's crappy plot-hole stop-gaps don't really -explain- anything that happened in between Lingshan and NYC.

Oh, right, I have to read a novel to make up the difference. Forgot about that.

The pronounced grainy effect is the combination of the processing effects and the low resolution on the console. The PC version is usually ran at a much higher resolution, so the 'grain' effect is not really noticeable (although it is there, as it was in crysis 1).

No, he was just getting the old suit repaired. You can tell by what the tech says to him.

I agree that it is rather disconcerting, as in Prophets flashbacks you see him on Lingshan in the N2 suit. However i'm willing to put it down to Crynet not really expecting C1 to have such an impact and possibility for continuation.

Yup, it's all part of Crysis 2 being a reboot instead of a sequel. Which is why it was stupid to use "Nanosuit 2" in all those earliest promotions since they were going to treat the Crysis 2 Nanosuit as the only one. But then they put a Nanosuit 1 in a display case in Hargraeve's office. They really needed to make up their minds.
