When Do Dragon Corpses Disapear?

When do dragon dragon corpses disapear? There's too many dragon corpses scattered over Skyrim and they keep lagging me up, there is currently four of them haunting Falkreath and two in Marthal and countless number of them scattered around skyrim.

I don't know that they ever do. They're supposed to be a constant reminder of how badass you are, or something like that.

On the other hand, it might be one month, and you cant revisit the cell they're in during that time period. Try traveling to a different city from falkreath and waiting for a good month-month and a half, and see if that makes them disappear. If that doesn't, nothing that's been programmed in will.

If you really, REALLY want to get rid of the, and are on the PC, then you can use the console. Press ~, select the dragon corpse, and type "Disable". This will make them disappear instantly and permanently.

Strange, the dragon skeletons in my game always disappear after I've left the area (at least about a day after the dragon's death). Playing on Xbox, with game saved to HDD.

My dragons disappear at variable intervals depending on where they are. The ones out in the middle of nowhere last a while, but usually the ones in the cities disappear as soon as I leave for a few hours. Probably because they're severe eyesores when they're half on top of buildings and such.

Okay one of the dragon skeletons has disapeared in Falkreath but there's still the other three.

They do, usually in a few of hours. I recently killed a dragon in the courtyard at the college and that corpse was gone in less than 20 minutes.

My friend reports that corpses linger for her but I've never had that. Every dragon I kill, the corpse disappears once I leave the area.

Its different with each person I figure. (might have to do with your settings idk)
As for the dragon bodies I like to duel cast firebolts and just blast the bodies to some obsure region where I don't have to worry about them cluttering my area.

Might want to make sure your supposedly disappeared dragon skeletons didn't just move somewhere else, too. They have a habit of doing that. :whistling:

The only reason I've found for them disappearing in my game is because they tend to fall through the floor a lot. I once was walking around and found a dragon skull sticking through the ground...decided to cast a spell at it for kicks and giggles, and just about wet myself when an entire dragon skeleton erupted from the ground, into the air, and on top of me xD

My bro on the ps3 has been attacked by dragons about 4 times at the college of winter hold, now every time he fast travels there there's about 3 of them stuck on the bridge in the entryway with the physics causing them to shake all over the place. It's kinda funny to look at
