When a Draugr Deathlord Disarms You...

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 12:03 pm

So I just recently got disarmed by one of these Deathlords for the 2nd time in my playthrough. The first time it happened, I completely lost my weapon, couldn't find it anywhere on the ground and it wasn't on the Deathlord's body. Is their Disarm shout supposed to obliterate your weapons into nothingness? I'm gonna be pretty upset if my Mehrunes' Razor is gone just because I had it out when he shouted at me.

Any help would be appreciated, I'd like to know if I should just reload from an autosave and pull out some [censored] weapons to get disarmed with.

It's on the floor somewhere, but they're hard to find. Took me a few minutes to find mine when he disarmed it. Annoying.

I dual wield, and i was experiencing something similar; i usually just reloaded to a minute or so back and avoided the shout, but later in the midst of a fight with a draugr deathlord I was disarmed; one sword went to the ground, but i couldn't find the other...until i checked in my inventory! For some reason it had just been deposited back in my pack rather than falling to the ground. You might want to check there.

When dual-wielding/using a one-hand and a shield, only the main hand weapon will be Disarmed. So you will only find the main hand on the floor... Your off-hand weapon/shield will be in your inventory, unequipped, but ready to re-equip straight after.

On a side note.
God that disarm is annoying.
Walking about with 1 weapon is very dangerous with these guys it seems, because running around a room frantically trying to find your sword again because your shield isn't gonna do much damage to these baddies isn't the greatest fun in the world.

They usually fall on the floor. If I can't find my weapon I use the unrelenting force shout until I see it fly across the room and go retrieve it. Had it happen with my warhammer and couldn't find it for the life of me. A couple shouts later I found it had been stuck partially under a throne and the shout dislodged it.

Thanks everyone, I ended up just reloading and 1-shotting the Deathlord with a 30x sneak bonus. ;) But the knowledge that disarm knocks your weapon to the ground will definitely help next time.

I lost my exquisite orc sword because it must have flew off in some weird direction when I god disarmed.

Was not too happy.
