So I'm as stoked as anyone about Skyrim being announced yesterday. The VGA announcement was amazing. But, I'm starting to get a little obsessive... I've watched the trailer way too many times and have looked over every inch of the teaser site. I really want to see the game in action. A gameplay trailer would be amazing, but I'd be fine with some screen shots or some concept art. My desire to see the game in action got me thinking about this quote from Todd Howard:

"When we show it, we want to show a lot, because there's a lot of game there to play right now."

The announcement trailer was great, but they didn't really show a lot. Hopefully Todd and Bethesda will keep their promise and we'll see something new soon. I know Hines tweeted we'd get more info soon... But how soon is soon? Hopefully soon means tomorrow. Take a look at this tweet from Andrew Reiner(editor at GI):

I just hope Bethesda knows the size of the can of worms theyre about to open the moment information is released. I want screenshots to be perfectly honest... though some people feel opposite and would rather only whet the appetite. I have a voracious, insatiable hunger right now.

Hopefully Skyrim screens, and maybe a vid, that would be sweet!

Might be a bit pretentious given that we hadn't been waiting for as long as those poor HL fans though and yet our game got announced first.

It would be a bit quick to release a gameplay trailer that soon after the initial announcement, I'm sure they'll build the hype up slowly but steadily first. Some screenshots, some info, etc.

But I expect it'll all go a little faster than with how things went with Oblivion because they've been working on it longer and the release date is closer.

I think we might see some teaser screenshots pretty soon. Gameplay footage is at least a few months off though.

It's 11 months till release. If they drop all their info now, things won't boil over all too well for the following 10 months. I guarantee you that. Slow and steady.

I'm expecting at least one screenshot tomorrow, if not by the end of the week.
