Book One: Immortality

"You're going to slay the beast, then?" grunted Matovius Palet.

The ranger smirked, and looked the snobbish Imperial in the eye. "Oh, I'll do much better than slay the bastard. I will be back in seven days with news of his death, or I myself have died."

"Well, get on with it!"

Flickering shadows danced on the edge of the ranger's vision, the fire casting its glare into the room. A coffin, bedecked with diamonds and other expensive jewels, was on a stone slab near the middle of the large bedroom. Footsteps sounded behind his form, probably just a guard patrol.

Sniffing, the ranger slowly opened the coffin.

A man lay, or what appears to be a man. Skin tight, drawn, and pale covered the face, and fangs jutted out of his mouth. Each arm was crossed on his chest.

Smiling, and revealing large fangs, the ranger clicked open a small jewelry box under the Count's left hand. Plucking the rings greedily into his hands, and slipping them into his pouch, he receded slowly into the darkness.

Sundas, and Skingrad is awoken by a shrill shriek, resounding throughout the streets. People stopped where they were and wondered what could produce such a noise.

Somewhere in the Castle, Janus Hassildor awakes to find his rings missing.

Mind, this is just the introduction. I plan to make this FF really interesting :D.

This is my first FF on here, so don't be too brutal if I missed something.
