That would depend entirely on the person.

I need more information. Bad in what way? Bad in quality? Bad for people's mental health if they play them too much? The word "bad" by itself doesn't give me much to go on.

That it's their opinion and while I disagree, they're entitled to have their own beliefs?

What do you mean by "bad..."? Evil? Terrible?

If they mean "Evil", I just laugh at them.

If they mean "terrible", I may agree, depending on their criteria.

Or even when they say that games are "a waste of time." What do you say?

I imagine you could call all entertainment "a waste of time" if you wanted to. It's a "waste of time" in the sense that we are usually not accomplishing anything productive while we are doing it. Are we doing anything productive when we watch a movie? For most of us, no. We are spending an enjoyable couple of hours watching light on a screen.

The fact is, almost anything a human being can do in life can be considered a "waste of time" by somebody. I say working as a stockbroker would be a complete waste of my time. But a stockbroker might say that what I do for a living, writing, is a waste of time because I earn almost no money at it.

We all have to decide for ourselves what a "waste of time" means for us.

tell them to [censored] off because they probably spend all of their free time writing every pointless thought on facebook.

seems like most people that think they're bad are people that have no life beyond facebook.

its not different than those who watch TV all day..

its just another passtime, and is no more a "waste of time" than watching TV, Or reading a book, or listening to music, etc..

No source of entertainment is "better" or "a better use of time" than another.. the point is to get enjoyment, and as long as the person is enjoying it, its goal is fulfilled

I probably wouldn't care. We all have ways of enjoying our time.

That depends, games can be bad, and they can be good. I have mixed results with them. They used to take too much time away from my life and after i fixed this, they became very positive, they help me figure out things i want to do in real life.

Two years ago i was stuck gaming so much i forgot that if i like racing games so much, i'd probably enjoy go karting, and that spending a long time on Total war games and Assassin's creed probably meant i could get some satisfaction from digging into history.

I don't give two [censored]s what other people think about what I do on my own time. It's my life, [censored] off.

*Ahem* That sounded rather....angry now didn't it?

Reassessment: I wouldn't care.
