I know that Argonians in Morrowind had a hefty Spear bonus. did this bonus go to something else in Oblivion?

Sadly, it was just +5. It got transferred to Blade. Oblivion Argonians also picked up bonuses in Hand-to-Hand and Security but lost their Medium Armor and Unarmored bonuses.

i hope they bring spears back to the next game along with darts throwing stars and crossbows. its hard to play a ninja assassin with a huge bow strapped to your back.

It is also hard to play a ninja without a climbing/scaling ability

Don't forget about losing their awesome legs. :'(

I freaking love spears, they should definitely bring back spears. Halebards FTW.
