As I said in the New Vegas thread about a similar subject, I don't mind learning a bit about how the game looks and plays, in fact, I'd say that's a good thing because it helps me decide if it interests me or not, granted, I'm not in doubt as to whether I'll play the Elder Scrolls V if it ever gets released at this point, but that's because I've enjoyed past Elder Scrolls games so far, so I expect good things from future ones too. If I had never played an Elder Scrolls game before, though, I'd need a bit more information before passing that judgement, and even when I fully expect to play the game, I don't mind knowing a bit about what I'll be getting into before playing it. Now if some later plot events that might be meant to be a surprise are spoiled, than that would bother me, especially if I find out how it ends before playing it, I also don't want things like the location of unique artifacts to be spoiled. These are the kind of spoilers that really bother me, because knowing what the gameplay or graphics are like before playing the game won't hurt the experience that muvh for me, if anything, it could be a good thing, as if Bethesda keeps following their past trend of making major alterations to the gameplay mechanics and overall feel of the game, if I still expect a game that will be like Oblivion when I play it, the results could come as quite a shock. But when it comes to the story, I usually want to be surprised, and knowing how it ends before hand can make me enjoy it less. In some cases, that sort of thing even prevents me from finishing the story because I don't like the sound of the ending that was spoiled for me and would rather leave the story unfinished than have it ruined by an unsatisfying ending. And I don't want to know where unique items are because I want to stumble upon them while exploring, not go to find them as soon as I think I'm ready, it's much more interesting when I have to search for them myself and can be surprised when I explore a dungeon and find them rather than having their locations told to me before I've even played the game.
Hopefully, though, Bethesda will know better than to spoil any big plot twists before releasing the game.
