When the hype wears off...

To some the issues with this game is a nightmare. Just look at all the threads...
I have ofcourse also encountered numerous bugs and for most some lag when not being host. Though I very much enjoy this game too much so I will stick with it a long time even though I will buy all the FPS games that comes out. The only game I see might end it for me is BF3. That game can be a monster. Time will tell. But until then this game will have my vote. For me this game ruled out KZ3, MOH and BFBC2+Vietnam. This is just my opinion but hopefully not many will give up on it yet.

I know alot of people agree with me. But it's a matter of preferences and we will not all agree. I think BF3 will be awsome, perhaps the best FPS in a while. Though no one can tell yet. I already pre-booked my Limited Edition and payed for it. Were you a fan of the other BF games?

I really dont see what there is in Crysis 2 online to make people fall in love with it. IMO there are many more problems than there are up points (weapon range/feel, gameplay, map size, game modes, nothing new and exciting, very bland, too noob friendly, LAG!, terrible kill cam, P2P - WTF!!! etc ...). I am not looking forward to any other game coming out, neither am I comparing the game to what is already out there. The campaign is really quite good and I massively enjoyed playing through it. It is the online MP that severely lets down this title. Personally I am already thinking about trading this game in and Im sure many others are as well. Ofcourse you will have the Crysis 2 fanboys that think its the best thing since sliced bread, but whatever each to their own. So yeah the hype and novelty on this new game wore off a long time ago for me

It's a good , but buggy , and far from great sp, and IMO it's a potentially very good mp, but ultimately it's a poor mans halo. It lacks the polish in the right places, and doesn't have the range if modes halo does, or the balance between weapons , the map design etc etc
Bc2 , halo and kz3 are IMO leagues ahead of this all around, but it can be a good shooter in it's own right if they act quick to fix issues, but if they dont it will die and only be remembered for being a hyped graphical king, which in reality failed to outperform the Sony exclusives and couldn't compete with polish of other established fps's

I can only talk from the PS3 user perspective, but I feel that the PS3 version was rushed to be out on time. I would have much preferred to wait another few months for a finished article rather than what we got. Its like we are in the beta phase just now beta testing rather than playing the final product.

For me its not anything to do with more realistic shooters or such like coming out. I just wanted a solid, fun to play online experience and to be blunt Crysis 2 simply has not delivered - on any front. I dont see any amount of patching changing this either. It is very clear the route that the devs want to take with this game with the modes/the general gameplay/weapon feel etc and it is just very very disappointing. So far my flop of the year award goes to Crysis 2, BOO! :(

It's the first fps I purchased for my playstation because it showed a whole lot of promise. Now the community is losing faith and turning their backs on the mp because of a few unsightly bugs that should be fixed in a few weeks.

Please dont mistake my criticism in the game as anything in relation to the graphical and very minor/unimportant things that will be fixed easily (frame drops & silly glitches etc). I am talking solely about the things I think a solid and long term enjoyable game are based on

Ppl keep going on about the ps3 version as if it's infinitely inferior when in reality it's not, with aspects of it superior to 360 version, and only the slight res reduction being the major difference. Apart from that they basically as buggy and messy as each other, and the 360 has an issue with a glitch that adds graininess to whole screen too.
They probably could have optimised ps3 engine bit more, but it's not a case of us just waiting , but their publishers pushing them to release it cause of keeping shareholders happy, avoiding clashes with other big titles and simply not wanting to pay wages for another fee months to fix it further .

This gives insight into ps3 /360 differences and if I look at lens of truth too
