I'm one of those [censored]s.

IMHO, they started off with GameBryo, but pulled out each segment of it, one by one and, upgraded, overhauled, or replaced it with a better counterpart, and added some new content, and renamed it to creation engine, so it is now "Creation Engine".

That's how it works.

I'm pretty sure that's not even legal.

Twitter also said (from pete hines) that he has been looking at two different gameplay vids/trailers and that they are insane and gave him chills.

Think it'd be worth it to make a Twitter just for Skyrim this 10 months?

There is a twitter for http://twitter.com/elderscrolls, although it only gives updates of what GI is releasing so far.

[censored] Gameinformer jesus [censored]. Just drop the rest out already I hate how long and drawn out this is getting....damn it. Just invite the GI team back up there show them stuff them stuff that is 100% going to be in the game. let them record it and show it to us on Friday. I want some tangible game play before I get an anticipation tumor. I love all the hard work their them put into the games and the games are phenomenal themselves. I hate video game hype machines with a passion we need to stop this promotional onslaught unless they have some real game play to show. Al the stuff on the hub is epic and I would love to see more of it all....on the DVD on the special edition of the game. I digress though just show us 10 min of what they have solid even if it has place holder voices and It will be worth all this GI nonsense. Half the people I told about creation engine think its Gamebryo plus. Prove these [censored]s wrong please!!

Well, that's the point, who really wants all the info dumped on them 10 months before the game releases, if we new everything by now, heck, even by next month, we'd all lose interest and die of boredom.

so? its NERDS that shaped this world!

do you think it was the big buff muscle heads popular with the ladies who thought up plans for video games and huge, complex cities and other machines?

no, they stood around banging their heads against rocks tryin to get company for the night...

NERDS ARE THE PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE!!!

also, i feel the same... any amount of news gets me excited... the wallpapers were pretty cool, i like the one of alduin's wall.

And how would you feel if Bethesda showed you everything they could...right now? Consider the fact that, despite the mixed opinion on the GI hub updates, they're lifting our spirits and salivating our anticipation before we even see a good portion of screenshots. By the time the game is just about to come out, we'll not only be entertained but also well informed. By publicizing the game this way, fans won't be as depressed if Bethesda just released a trailer and did a few interviews. Add this to the fact that, if anything changes in the game, fans won't be as disappointed with the final product. (if Bethesda released a trailer with your character riding a dragon, and they decide to cut it once the game comes out, how sad will you be that you watched that trailer?)

And, maybe it's just me, but I prefer behind the scenes articles and videos over gameplay when the game I'm excited about is...I don't know...9 months away?

Without nerds, there wouldn't be Elder Scrolls.
Without nerds, there wouldn't be computers.
Without nerds, there wouldn't be long-distance communication
Without nerds, we still wouldn't know what the earth looks like from outer space.

Fun Fact: Dr. Suess invented the word "nerd"

"The first documented appearance of the word "nerd" is as the name of a creature in Dr. Seuss's book If I Ran the Zoo (1950), in which the narrator Gerald McGrew claims that he would collect "a Nerkle, a Nerd, and a Seersvcker too" for his imaginary zoo" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nerd

On topic, I'm going to wager it will go Art, UI, then Combat.

But then why would it be late in the day if it is art? Art will most definitely be a video but UI and Combat will most certainly not be. It will take a while for the Miller guy to type it up I assume.

There's three more confirmed updates, which they will probably spread among the weekdays. I'm guessing Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

Good point. Though, it may be late in the day because of their schedule and not necessarily how much effort the update will take. My logic just came from what I assume people want the most. Saving the best for last.

It may just be late in the day because they release the article, then close shop and go home and let the nice Moderators here deal with the traffic, questions and concerns.

then again, traffic, questions and concerns seem much, MUCH heavier BEFORE the release of info... like... 5 pages longer.

To moderators; thanks for your patience, your hard work and dedication, and for what will undoubtedly happen again tomorrow late in the day. if I were in your place, my banhammer would have soul trap on it, with azura's star chained to the hilt for quick access.

First game play video will be shown in a month with an 'R' in the name of the month. Good luck trying to figure that out.

Well, there are quite a few months with "r" in it.

January
February
March
April
September
Oktober
November

I think it′s safe to assume we will see gameplay before September, so within April seems like the most logic choice.

Last week I was overwhelmed with updates and too busy to read through them all directly, but now I'm just sitting here anxious for them to hit the page.

I'll join you on that bet.

I'm sure combat is what most people want to hear about, so why not save it for last?

And the art update is supposed to have a video that's about the art team, and so far, videos with devs in them seem to pop up early in the week (excluding sounds).

I will be pleasantly surprised if combat is today's hubdate.
