When is the next GI update? : V - Skyrim

It is an update coming today (I think). 24th of January 2011.

Was this announced via Twitter or some other means, or is it just an educated guess?

We'll get an article on combat today. GI has been alluding to it the entire time.

Might be today... they already did something on Art though, it wont be that. UI gameplay and combat. thats 3 there. Probably not UI either, it'll be something different, but just a small thing.

We'll have a video about the talented art team and the work they do at the studio.

As for gameplay itself, we won't have any videos of it (since Hubs never have anything on gameplay video wise and Pete said our first gameplay video will come in a later month with an "r" in it), but there might be some articles on it.

Hey, be respectful of those that do use them though, huh? I have a Facebook account and a Twitter account (no myspace account though), and though I may not go to the websites much, I don't have any regrets about creating those accounts.

But anyways, new information on the way is always good. I have been actually trying to not think about Skyrim too much at this time though, since knowing the release date, it is the majority of a year away from launching still, so there is time to wait to be sure.

Anyways, stay on topic, this thread isn't about Facebook. Maybe slightly Twitter, as it may entail some lurking on some knowledgeable people's twitter accounts in hopes of hints at new information about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. >.>

No problem, just mentioning it, if not for my sake then for others that may have an account at one or both of those sites, so it doesn't need to seem at all degrading, socializing is good. ;]

Pretty much all I want to know is if the player can play as a Werewolf in Skyrim or not, otherwise I am thinking it will feel a lot like Oblivion, only with a change or addition here and there, improvement in general, and more Nords around. xD

As already noted, GI previewed some of the news bits coming this week alongside the wallpapers they released.

Check back in the coming days and you'll find a dedicated article on the combat of Skyrim, including Bethesda's exciting dual-hand approach to battles. We'll have a video about the talented art team and the work they do at the studio. In addition, watch for a focused piece on Skyrim's completely overhauled user interface and menu system, and how it differs from what you remember in Oblivion.

First update will be this afternoon, with a couple more updates later in the week.
