Now i was around before Oblivion released, but I had no intention of buying the Collectors Edition at that time, but if anyone can remember when they announced that, can anyone deduce when we might hear what the Skyrim one contains? Im buying this one day one, no questions asked.

I think they want people to know what they're buying

My guess it not until maybe a couple months before release. Gives time to come up with an epic package along with marketing and such.

When they feel like it. I don't think that there is any "traditional" time to announce special additions. Everyone does it differently. But EVERYTHING has a Collectors Edition these days, so I wouldn't even worry about it.

As far as contents go, probably your standard Behind-The-Scenes DVD and art book, in a shiny case. Maybe a figurine of some new creature or important character? Who knows?

I'd expect them to announce something within 3 months before release.

All i know is I want this game. This is the first time in a while where I actually check online everyday and scrounge for new info :drool:

Usually they announce the contents a few months before the game comes out.

We have no clue when they will announce it and they are full of surprises so anyones guess. And that leaves us with nothing to discuss in this thread.
