When was oblivion's release date released? When did they announce TESVI and when did it come out? (im trying to come up with some kind of pattern)

TES VI was announced in 2016 - I went to the future and checked.

If TES IV was announced in Sept 2004 as noted above, it was finally released in March 2006 - although iirc, it had originally been scheduled to be released a few months earlier, but was delayed to the March 06 date.

Yep. I think it was originally planned to be an Xbox 360 release title, so that would have been ~November 2005 but it was pushed back to March 2006.

I think it was supposed to be November 22. Just a random date that popped into my mind, but I'm usually close on these types of things.

I'm afraid you wont find any patterns that aren't already in that chart OP.

Can I just say here that the lack of news on TESV is bordering on insulting.

Why is it insulting, and how? When Beth have information of value to release coupled with screenshots and further information, they will. If they now say "yes, we are working on it" there will just be even more speculation and probably more posts complaining that it is insulting they don't give release dates.

When they are ready the information will come, until then they are staying tight lipped as they always do.

You know what I found the most insulting? ArenaNet's announcement of GuildWars 2 and then next to nothing for a very long time. In my opinion, Beth's approach is much better.

Then again, now they are releasing info. And unlike most MMO companies, they aren't promises they are actually in the game.
