When was the College of Winterhold founded?

I need some kind of referenceable answer of this question for a quest mod I'm in the process of writing. My goal is to have sources, preferably in form of gamebooks and the other books, for most claims in the questline. It's a mod for Skyrim and follows the journals of a Dunmer College scholar who unravels a highly secretive cult of a female Dunmer mage who he refers to as "the curiously malevolent Dunmer". I've been checking around on TIL but have found no sources of the age of the College of Winterhold, I was thinking that the first journal entries are from 2E698 and that the protagonist scholar dies around 3E2 (using The Real Barenziah, Part 4 as a source for lifespan and settled for 817 years). Would this be compatible with the accumulated lore? My main question is however as the title suggests, how far can the College of Winterhold be traced back in the lore?

Furthermore, regarding naming, where should I look for sources regarding that? (except just looking at what names have been used in the games) Preferably I'd like the mod to be fully compatible with the lore but I am by no means a lore buff (started with TES3) and I guess I have to learn as I go. Would Umquarin Oce and Dafvyn Eistaarm (double aa, pronounced as the Scandinavian "?") work as Dunmeri names?
