If you just started, go out the south gate at Chorrol and go left to Crumbling Mine to pick up some loot including some armor and stuff. At level 3 you can go to Rockmilk Cave N of Leyawiin if you go stealthy and take your time. Get some silver arrows ASAP to take on the next level of ghost/magic type characters.

If you have the gold you can find armor at the various shops in the cities.

I have always played as a Breton Stealth Archer. I don’t like the up close and personal stuff. My girls prefer to kill things at long range with enchanted bows and arrows, some with poison on then. Cuts out all that sweaty slug fest fighting.

Went to Shivering Isle once, but didn’t stay too long - just looked around and did a few things. I prefer wandering around in Cyrodil, closing Oblivion Gates and just exploring Cyrodiil.

My advice? Just play the game and don′t worry about when and where. You′ll get the most out of the game that way.

Hope you don′t think I′m unfriendly now because that′s not what I′m after, but I do think you′ll enjoy the game more if you take it easy and let yourself get immersed more

But hey, you do what you feel like. That was just my thoughts :foodndrink:

You can go into Shivering Isles anytime. Because you can leave at any time and then return.

There is a quest you need to do to get into the main island. And that quest is very much easier at lower levels. I recommend you do the quest to get into the main part of the islands early (once you enter you should soon find out about what I'm talking about). Then you can leave. The best loot/rewards in Shivering Isles is generally around level 25 or 30 so you can come back then to do some quests and exploring and get some good loot/rewards.

Shivering Isles is a great place to visit, in my opinion.

I′m glad :)

Well the way I see this is I find it most fun to find it out on my own if I can go someplace or not, and regarding loot I don′t think twice about them. I would have wanted some particular items a little bit higher but I don′t really care as I can make more powerful stuff anyway at the university. All I can say in conclusion is that I am so glad I didn′t know anything about this forum or the wiki when I started playing. I only joined really to solve the A-bomb issue
Of course now I have quite a few friends here and pop in every day :twirl:

Sneak goes well with marksman and if you want a head start on those skills, Bosmer are good for that.

Sneak is a ridculously easy skill to increase. If you make it a class skill, you may find yourself leveling up too quickly. Now maybe its cause I just never used it, mainly cause I play magic or magic/combat hybrid types with sneak as a miscellaneous skill at 5, but I found sneak to be rather tricky to increase in Morrowind.

I think he′s talking about the extra content that at least before could be downloaded. I don′t know what the status is now, if they are available again, but I doubt it.

I will just say Fin Gleam. That's usually the first object I go for, when I emerge out of the sewers. It's a glass helmet, found in the water near the small island south west of Anvil.
