When will an Amazon pre-order arrive?

Post » Wed Aug 10, 2011 11:46 pm

When 11-11-11 comes around, I will be a freshmen in college and will be living in a dorm. I have just found out that I will not be bringing a car with me, so I will not be able to get to a gamestop or somewhere else to pick up my two existing pre-orders (xbox and pc). If I were to pre-order from Amazon, would Skyrim arrive on 11-11-11? Or would that be the start of the shipping process, and it would be more likely to arrive 3-5 days later? Any experience with this? Would some other online service be better to use?

Any help would be appreciated.

It depends really. If your lucky it might arrive a day early. You might get it at mid day on the 10th.

They have release date delivery as an option. But seeing as how you might not even know your address, if you're stuck on playing it on 11-11 you might want to opt for Steam (download).

Depends on the shipping option you choose. After that it lays in the hands of the shipping company being on time and you or someone recieving the package.

Forgot to mention it might be late in Canada based off of the Catherine release.

I pre-ordered Halo: Reach from them and it arrived on the release day, about noon. You just have to select 'Deliver on Release Date' or something.

Make sure to study first, and play Skyrim second.
