Yes, but they know people would want it at midnight like myself. It's been out on Xbox for a month, I don't see why they could not have had it available sooner. I want it just cuz, but aIso also want to update TES5Edit in case there are changes. Oh well I http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1441258-0000-tuesday-gmt-release-or-a-release-during-the-american-workday/ I guess.

That has more to do with Valve than Bethesda, to be honest. They only really do midnight releases for high profile full game releases, not dlcs.

well I was thinking it would be ready to download at 2 am not 10 am the 5th. maybe things are different from PlayStation and x-box 360 stores than steam store. because usually a new DLC will be ready to download after 2 am the day is supposed to aviable.

Yeah, Valve usually releases DLC on Steam later in the day, and high profile games at around midnight.

I literally threw up a little when I checked Steam a second ago and saw that it will release in 9 hours. What a sickening joke.

That 'countdown' has been there for days. Did you actually not notice it before?

How many DLC get midnight releases anyway? Can't say I've heard of many at all.

edit: Since it's determined by Bethesda's working hours (They're on the east coast, hence PST) and they like to be in the office (Apparently :) ) to deal with issues arising with the load, it makes sense for them to release at the same time relative to PST rather than staggered releases by however gets to the 5th first.

Otherwise then, those same people upset that it isn't out by 'there' time, would then be raging becuase if there's a problem they can't get tech support for several hours.

I'm in the UK. I'm happy to wait because I know how these things work.

Still, at least this isn't as bad as the Fallout 3 DLC launches where people were staying up for a mythical midnight release (despite Beth recommendations that it wasn't neccesary) and were still awake and waiting (And raging) come 7am.

i think hes refering to the fact its the 5th now and we have to wait 10 hours.. 9 sorry. The countdown for me has always said .. like 5 days, 4 hours and 47 seconds, i don't know about you.. but i ain't going to work that out to the hour.. i just assumed it meant the 5th.. early 5th lol.

Simple choice?

They never claimed that people who pre-ordered with get anything extra or get to play it first or anything.

The only benefit I can see is that you can get it downloaded the moment it comes available without faffing around with the payment method and eating into precious downloading and playing time or something.

well id say none I just know that on the day about 4 years ago around 2 am the first DLC for GTA 4 was aviable after 2 am on x-box 360 I bought it at that time even though took like a hour to download and I remember buying some DLC but for what game I can't remember on PSN at around 2 am.

I haven't even looked at it close. I glanced at it a few weeks ago, when I actually had Steam open. I play in off line mode so I rarely even open it up, unless I want to buy something.

I thought I remembered it being the standard price, and seeing this thread just made me wonder what the benefit was
...if any.

Think of it as 'yay, a few more hours to go!' rather than 'omg, a few more hours to go'.
