For the hardcoe minority who is reading this thread and attempting to reply with righteous indignation about accomplishment in a single player game please get out of my thread.

Seriously if your still reading control the urge to respond.

Seriously get out of here go play Everquest or ffxi for your 'accomplishment'

Seriously get out

No idea. I'm guessing PS4 and XBox wil release at the same time so there aren't waves of rage-posts.

Not for a while...I believe the GECK needs to be released for PC first, then as I understand it, approved mods from that come to consoles?..

Have you considered getting a pc if you are a mod fan? Most of the mods you read about in the forums will never come to the console.

I would say in very late 2016 if it's released at all. They have a deal with MS so they'll want you get the MS version so it will get mods way before the PS4 version.

I just want ammo crafting and the mod that show what our character can say. I don't care about any of that other stuff.

Good bet is that the XBox will have mods roughly three months after the Construction kit is released.

The architecture is compatible (Windows 10), and Microsoft appears amenable.

The PS4 is a different story. The file system is somewhat different, so mods can't just be copied over.

More importantly, Sony owns the platform and has not publicly shown any enthusiasm for mods.

They will come to the PS4 when Sony is good and ready. Might help if PS4 users lobbied for it.

Bethesda treats all platforms equally. Sort of like Android releases for phones; they go on when the carrier is good and ready.

Mods, much like DLC, are handled by the game engine. Mods will most likely be in a "cabinet" or format rather that the game engine accesses. Very little to do with how the consoles OS operates. Besides both the Xbox One and PS4 aee AMD Jaguar based x86 systems. Not too many differences other than the nuances of each OS. Basically the game will handle mods not necessarily the systems OS.

I imagine the Xbox One is getting it first mainly because its easier to figure out the nuances of bringing mods to consoles on one system first, and that MS probably paid Bethesda some money lol.

I just need 1 microphone for my stage in my USO style bar. Probably won't see it for months.
