When will our Q&A be answered?

Post » Thu Jun 23, 2011 7:29 am

As long as we get some decent info on:

The Crafting system
Armor segments
Other factions
New additions such as fishing/farming
vampires/werewolves
the 13 types of ore (which they won't because the questions were asked before that was revealed, DAMN)
Romance (confirm if it's in or not)
hardcoe mode

I will be happy.

Yeah, I know. I get info on all this, I'll be happy.

[cough]Werewolves.[cough]

... Are cut...
Hopefully they give us some gameplay video as well... Maybe show off the AI a little better (not the guy sitting there sharpening his axe, never looking at it. I wonder if you sat there in that screen if he would continue to sharpen it indefinitely.)

What does being dragon born entail?
How big are the dragons?
Can you party with dragons?
Are dragons a big part of skyrim?
Are dragons a small part of skyrim?
Are dragons a medium part of skyrim?
Can you ride dragons?
Can you turn into a dragon?
How many dragons are there?
Can you be friends with the dragons?
Are there baby dragons?
Can you have a dragon as a pet?

This will be the fan interview.

Fixed.

Medium is no longer a valid classification for anything since Oblivion, lol

:sleep2:

I dreamt I killed a Dragon-God with a punch to the face while riding a unicorn. Then I returned to my Earthly home where I was rewarded with praise, jewels and sixual escapades.

But yeah, your dream is okay too.

Werewolves Bethesda! Werewolves! You can scrap the vampires if it means keeping werewolves! Please, Dovahkiin and Dragon stuff is good and all...but werewolves Bethesda! I rather be a playable creature than a playable hero coughing lizard dragon shouts every now and then.

Perhaps they are taking their sweet time because they are currently working on finishing Skyrim in time :P JOKES!

But seriously, ya, I need more Skyrim info! My burgeoning questions would be:

1. Will we be able to apply elemental magic to a weapon? I.e. equip a sword in one hand and a fire-based spell in the other. Will simultaneously pulling both triggers (or clicking both mouse-buttons) apply fire-damage to the sword for a period of time? If so, will the sword actually show flames emanating from the blade?

2. Since we can smith our own weapons, can we also make our own arrows, and further to that, does smithing also include the making of bows?

3. Will we be able to setup our own camp in the wilderness? If so, will it actually show a campsite with cooking fire, tent, bedroll etc and can the campsite be randomly attacked? Even further to that, can the site be over by squatters/merchants/bandits/goblins if we leave it setup and take off for a while?

4. Has there been any positive feedback from Microsoft or Sony about getting some of the user-created mods onto XBL or PSN?

Oh yes, I would love to know if we can set our own camp in the wilderness. How awesome would that be? Living a savage wild life in the woods!

I only want werewolves in if theres quests and NPC's that can change into werewolves. Also I don't want to be a werewolf if other werewolves will attack you. Just like in Oblivion you were a vampire but every vampire attacked you own sight? I hope there is a mini faction for werewolves.

Not everyone buys the game for the PC. Hopefully, Bethesda can sort the mods thing out for consoles.

In Oblivion, the vampires that attacked you were savage. The only vampires that liked you better was Janus Hassildor, who actually had his disposition raised by +20 because you were a vampire. Werewolves would be a nice addition to Skyrim, but the quests are not nescessary as long as Lycanthropes are added to add spice in the game. Not everyone wants to be forced to play as a normal Dragonborn. NPC's should turn to werewolves too and they should respect the player as a werewolf. Have a +disposition if your a Lycanthrope. They did transformations in Bloodmoon and the NPC's turned into werewolves too, I don't see that it would be as challenging now that the game has a new engine.

I think it's unlikely. The online service for mods would need to be regulated, costing money. Someone will have to pay for it.

And LIVE is a service that's a tight as a duck's ass. Portal 2 cross platform didn't happen on live for that reason.

todd howars said in multiple interview that microsoft are being more receptive to the idea of mods on console and while it might not be possible to do it in skyrim it might well be possible in the next generation of consoles.

I'm a little worried about the answers that we will get back.

I was reading through aload of the questions that people submitted the other day and pretty much everything that was asked has either been answered in magazines or during the E3 demo.

Hopefully Todd will filter out the questions that have already been answered and only post answers to questions that we don't know yet but we'll have to wait and see about this.

I think they should have waited till after E3 before the asked the fans for questions but lets just hope I am wrong and we will actually get some good questions answered...

where are questions supposed to be submitted to? and how do we know if the question has already been asked??

why isnt there a master question list organized by a mod? we should all get together and come up with thought out questions compiled into a list on a single thread. that way they dont have to filter through a thousand pages of questions.

you are about a month late to the party.

the thread was organized by a mod, in fact a Bethesda employee, and there were a total of 5 or 6 threads (I'm guessing that means approximately 1000 - 1200 posts).

it is too late to submit any new questions, the final thread was locked several weeks ago.

There were only 4 threads so approximately 800 posts.

The mods sifted through and suggested questions but gstaff had the final say. Not even the moderators know which questions will be answered.

We're just going to have to be patient. Try to forget about it and when they do appear it'll be a pleasant surprise.
