When will our Q&A be answered?

Post » Thu Jun 23, 2011 5:12 am

I wish they would just give us a date instead of the "in a couple of weeks", or "after E3". If it's going to be finished June 20th or July 20th I would like to know instead of scouring around every other day looking for info. Surely just giving an estimated day wouldn't be too hard. I hope I'm not asking for too much, I don't want to whiny or unappreciative in anyway shape or form. :/

The thread will be pinned in here so you don't need to scour the forums, just check the top of Skyrim General every few days. They may also post about it on their blog so you could just keep an eye on their feed, although it's possibly they won't announce it there so checking the forum is still your best bet.

It's possible that they have a specific date lined up but chances are they don't have anything firm, and imagine the ire if they said "it should be up by X" if they miss that. From their perspective keeping it general is far safer.

I was wondering where they would be found, thanks for answering that and yes you have a point there angry fans are pretty scary. Thanks again.

I don't envy you moderators, especially on days like E3 or this one. Having a thousand people type on the forums along with the associated lag must make your jobs a nightmare.

Still, it will be exciting to see what was answered!

I always look forward to these, not only is the community aspect nice but they tend to be extremely informative. I actually avoid most preview articles but I'll jump right over and read this once it's posted.

E3 is a busy time of the year for moderation, and I'll admit I haven't been terribly active for most of it this year, but even if the forum is a pain in the butt to wrangle it's nice to see so many people excited about a game.

They take hype and turn it into an obnoxious waiting game, that's all.

Mods get paid in alternating smiles and tears.

Mods are just regular people like you and me only more special.

They became mods because they're awesome.

likely they volonteer their time to moderate these forums, which is admirable considering what they have to put up with sometimes...

I wonder how many questions were sent to be taking them this long to answer. We better get something substantial.

Anybody else think there is a chance we'll get something more than the answers from and before E3? I'm thinking we'll get more indepth answers seeing as they're answering questions specifically for fans and not trying to give general information to people unfamiliar with Skyrim (like at E3).

I could be wrong, but I understand they get paid in money. They are not Bethesda employees but work for a third party company which manages these forums.
They are pros.
As for their awesomeness, well, their patience sure is awesome.

I'm a little worried about the answers that we will get back.

I was reading through aload of the questions that people submitted the other day and pretty much everything that was asked has either been answered in magazines or during the E3 demo.

Hopefully Todd will filter out the questions that have already been answered and only post answers to questions that we don't know yet but we'll have to wait and see about this.

I think they should have waited till after E3 before the asked the fans for questions but lets just hope I am wrong and we will actually get some good questions answered...

I would like to read some predictions as to when's the fan interview coming out.
Previous have failed.

Do you think the hack might delay its release of at least give them a palusible excuse to postpone it?

There were four full posts of questions I think. I skimmed over and asked some of my own. The majority of these questions were really well thought out so it may take them a bit to sort through them and see what they can answer at this time and what they will be more hesitant to answer at this time.

Perhaps the question list should be filtered against questions who are answered clearly already, mounted combat is confirmed out so no need to ask. Greaves and lots of interface questions is new after E3 videos.

Exactly.

We already know there won't be partying with dragons, and I swear if they even take time to answer something stupid like that, I'm finding the user that posted the question, and blackmailing that person for the rest of their life
