Only because the release date got delayed.

skyrim releases in nine months. Can't go much longer without showing at least a trailer let alone gameplay.

Hmmm.. Tea Olives (Osmanthus fragrans) bloom in months with an "r" in the name. (It's a horticulturist's tongue-in-cheek way of saying that they bloom off and on all year round.)

Seriously, it's only been a month since the official announcement. If they "shoot their wad" now, what will they have left to surprise us with six months from now, or a month before the release?

I personally think it's quite amusing to watch all of the blathering, writhing about, and frothing at the mouth going on here on the forums on a daily basis. I like to imagine the devs have a cork board somewhere in the studio where they tack up print-outs of the daily pick of the top ten tormented forum denizens, just for chuckles...

I know that Skyrim is more than 9 months away but seeing as how the magazines have seen videos of this game and collected their info from it (or this is at least what I am told) when will we, the fans, see this video? I'm tired of READING info and watching some guy talk to me about concept art or sound. I want some actual footage! ANYTHING!

This is Bethesda we are talking about! Don't settle for your fans just saying "Oh wow..that's interesting :ponder:" You must strive for that "OMG I must change pantzs nows!" that I got from the the announcement trailer or the GI magazine.

I am wondering about the same thing. I don't think we'll se any gameplay footage in the nearest months, though.

Yes, of course we'll see gameplay at E3.

But, if Pete's tweet is to be taken seriously and literally (and I don't see why it shouldn't), then we should be seeing gameplay footage between now and the end of April. Some people have mentioned PAX, which is early-mid March. This seems like a reasonable bet.
