When will we see Gameplay? : V

I know that Skyrim is more than 9 months away but seeing as how the magazines have seen videos of this game and collected their info from it (or this is at least what I am told) when will we, the fans, see this video? I'm tired of READING info and watching some guy talk to me about concept art or sound. I want some actual footage! ANYTHING!

This is Bethesda we are talking about! Don't settle for your fans just saying "Oh wow..that's interesting :ponder:" You must strive for that "OMG I must change pantzs nows!" that I got from the the announcement trailer or the GI magazine.

When Oblivion was announced back in september 2004, we didn't see any gameplay footage until the trailer at E3 2005 in may.

It did disappoint me that most of the UI update for Game Informer was nothing new, and the UI picture was the exact one that was already printed.

A friend advised me to distance myself from Skyrim hype until closer to release. He's probably right... but I'm too interested to do so 100%.

I am assuming at E3 2011. Probably at the Microsoft press conference, but maybe at the Sony. I am hoping for Microsoft because it will air on TV.

But that was almost a year before the game came out. So with less than 10 months until release, shouldn't we be getting some soon?

That's mainly because Bethesda sneak announced Skyrim and it had 11 months to release date when it was announced, Oblivion was announced a fair bit before release unless im mistaken

get ready to wait. seeing gameplay is only going to make you more impatient to play. with out knowing how far they've gone into developement, I assume there is going to be a delay, there almost always is. and if they decide to not delay even if there are excessive bugs (like NV) they should delay if there are bugs. I don't care if it ruins their 11/11/11 release date, but then again I will wait for the first few patches any way so I won't be affected.

I think that hint was referring to the UK magazine with the coverstory. I may be wrong though.

If it's being released in a month with an R in it, that rules out May and June. It also rules out July and August. That means either we'll get the gameplay video in the next few months (before E3) or not until right before it's released. I doubt it's the latter.

Game footage will arrive in February, March, or April. Since GDC is coming up, I expect it then. (They said it would be in a month with an "R" in it.)

If I recall that was a sarcastic comment from Pete toward someone asking too many questions. Of coarse one can easily expect info over the coming months.

Their plans most likely a drip-feed approach. Helps keep hype up to Launch without diminishing too much.
